On Sunday night (February 10), the 72nd annual EE British Academy Film Awards 2019 were held in London to celebrate the best British and foreign films of last year. Following on from the previous year, Joanna Lumley took centre stage once again to host the BAFTAs, for which I was very excited! As always, I was very focused on the red carpet before the ceremony took place, often being in awe of the fashion choices by those who attended. So, who made the Killer Fashion Best Dressed List for the BAFTAs this year?

Killer Fashion Choice

The BAFTAs are a great red carpet for fashion, and when I spotted this halterneck gown from the Elie Saab Spring 2019 Ready to Wear collection I knew it was the one for this ceremony. It features a plunging neckline with a choker detail, that’s covered in multicoloured sequins and beads. The cascading embellishment on the delicate skirt finishes with a lace trim for a fun but romantic feel, though I would omit the waistbelt for a ribbon trim instead.

And in the words of my favourite Joanna Lumley character Patsy, “cheers darling!”
