Killer Fashion Choice

The BAFTAs are a very elegant affair, and to honour all that’s wonderful about the magic of film, I deem this Monique Lhuillier Spring 2016 Bridal gown fit for the occasion. I love the way in which the sparkling beads cascade down the sheer overlay across the shoulders and down the sleeves, and then how the sweetheart bodice features heavier embellishment to reflect the skirt’s design, and then of course there’s the tulle overlay from the waist. I am in love with how magical this dress is.

The Best Dressed

Nicole Kidman easily swooped the list in this stunning plunging haltergown by Armani Privé. The dress featured a glitter-adorned upper bodice with a satin waistband accented by a sparkling brooch on the middle and a silhouette skirt that looked wonderful on her svelte figure. The Australian beauty added a silver twisted drop necklace by Harry Winston, alongside pavé diamond bracelet & rings and an Omega pavé watch. She kept the styling simple with messy straight hair and minimal makeup. I adore this from head to toe.

Monochrome Madness

Actress Thandie Newton attended in London wearing this strapless wide-v gown by Osman. The look featured a floral embroidery motif along one side with a slight peplum detail on the waist. The brunette beauty added long straight hair, a deep berry lipstick and minimal accessories.

Presenting on the night, Bryce Dallas Howard wore this wide-v sleeveless dress from Solace London, that also featured cut outs on the waist. The figure-hugging gown was styled with a full-fringed bun hairstyle and red lipstick, with minimal gold jewellery and Jimmy Choo heels to finish.

Laura Whitmore was of course in attendance, wearing a crisp white bardot gown by Suzanne Neville. The bespoke gown featured a figure-hugging silhouette and a thigh-high leg cut that showed off her light gold platform sandals from Jimmy Choo. The Irish beauty added jewellery by Swarovski, Daisy London and Nadine Aysoy Jewellery. A tucked-back hairstyle, red lipstick and black eyeliner rounded up her awards attire.

Joining the monochrome styles, actress Felicity Jones attended in a black gown by Christian Dior. The bejewelled strapped dress featured a tulle overlay full-skirted look that was accessorized with Giuseppe Zanotti heels and jewellery from Bvlgari.

Metallic Mania

Michelle Williams stepped out donning Louis Vuitton for the BAFTAs. Her crop-sleeved mini dress was covered in silver glitter that shone from all angles with a facial motif on the bodice. She added black strappy sandals, minimal jewellery and her now-signature pixie cut with black eyeliner an off-pink lipstick.

Beautiful brunette Penelope Cruz attended the awards donning a gold shimmer dress by Versace. The look featured an asymmetrical neckline with draped sleeves and draped detail around the bodice and waist too. Sporting a relaxed lob hairstyle with dark eye makeup, nude lipstick and minimal accessories, the actress looked beautiful for her night in London.

Ava West opted for a metallic-sheen gown by Roland Mouret. The fitted bodice of the gown complimented the mermaid silhouette with its fishtail skirt from the knees, that was styled drop earrings and sideswept glamorous curls. A deep aubergine lipstick choice and black eyeliner rounded up her look for the awards.

Emma Stone looked absolutely beautiful donning this glittering v-neck dress & pants look by Chanel Couture. With a floral motif design throughout the sheer overlay, the midi dress was teamed with above-the-ankle matching trousers and ankle strap Christian Louboutin heels to compliment. She added a Chanel clutch and jewels by Tiffany & Coto her look, with a sleek half-up half-down hairstyle and a dark pink lipstick to finish. Emma Stone also won the BAFTA for Leading Actress for ‘La La Land’, congratulations!

Actress Sophie Turner looked rather gorgeous in her two-toned sequin dress from Louis Vuitton. Her low-cut v-neck long sleeve dress featured studding along the neckline, with a black bodice and a silver skirt that also featured thigh-high asymmetrical cuts on both sides showing off her black sandals. Long wavy hair and silver jewellery rounded up her look.

Patterns & Prints

Carmen Ejogo opted for a poppy flower printed tiered dress, a sleeveless look featuring a plunging neckline that was styled with minimal jewels.

Wearing a strapless look, Holliday Grainger attended in an Ulyana Sergeenko floral printed gown to the awards. The slight sweetheart neckline complimented the full skirt was accented by the dark red lip and her Forevermark minimal accessories were the perfect finishing touches.

The asymmetrical neckline featured a one-shoulder strap and pockets on the waist with an ankle-grazing cut skirt. Her satin pumps by Jimmy Choo were beautiful additions to the look, accented by a slicked back hairstyle and silver & black jewellery from Cartier.

A Splash of Colour

Viola Davis looked wonderful in her two-toned blue strapless gown for the BAFTAs. Wearing a custom-made Jenny Packham gown, the sweetheart dress featured a gathered texture with a criss-cross deign on the waist, adding Bvlgari jewellery and a Tyler Ellis clutch, with red lipstick, dark eye makeup and a wavy bob hairstyle.

Sporting yellow on the red carpet, Millie Mackintosh attended in a bright Spring-forward column dress. The look featured a scooped shoulder strap with one very embellished motif on the other side, that added oomph to the subtle outfit.
