Summer is in full swing in Ireland, and oh how I’m loving the sunny blue skies we’ve been getting. And with summer there’s always love in the air, so if you have a wedding invitation sitting on your dresser or are planning your own, and need a helping hand then please do keep reading! As you know, I’m a big fan and lover of all things wedding-related. From the bridal gown to bridesmaids dresses, flower girls with baskets of rose petals, puppies as the ring bearer, groomsmen and their antics, the Best Man speech, the music, the venue, the food, the bride & groom’s first dance and the everlasting memories…is it any wonder I’m such a romantic? Today’s post continues my Wedding Wednesday series, that will hopefully help out brides-to-be and their bridesmaids who are looking for special and reasonably priced dresses and shoes for all themes. Looking for the right dress can be tricky. For a group of bridesmaids, there are different heights, shapes & sizes to take into account, so I’m hoping I’ve made your search that little bit easier. If you’re attending as a wedding guest, do be mindful of the bride; it is her big day and you don’t ever want to upstage & upset her, so I advise to stay away from all-white, ivory & cream colours if you know the bride will wear one of the three. If you’re opting for a maxi dress, remember to wear one that doesn’t scream “I’m going to a ball”, unless the wedding theme is Oscars style, opt for a fun & flirty style that’s a little more loose than fitted. Bold colours & prints are great choices, but I don’t advise wearing scarlet red.
