Last night the 14th Peter Mark VIP Style Awards took place at the prestigious The Marker Hotel in Dublin. There was serious fashion on the red carpet this year as all the Irish beauties, from TV presenters, actresses and models alike, stepped out onto the red carpet. There were the most gorgeous of dresses, two-pieces and jumpsuits, as well as a great turn out for the menswear. It was a really brilliant night, with some of my personal favourites winning awards on the night. So without further ado, take a look at Killer Fashion’s Best Dressed list!
The Best Dressed
Hands down, Irish model and former Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter absolutely stunned. I am in absolute awe about this gorgeous look she wore to the VIP Style Awards. Her glittering iridescent sequins gown by MacDuggal from Cari’s Closet was long-sleeved and the perfect fit, which the tall brunette wore with glitzy stiletto platform heels too, that Holly revealed were the same heels she wore at the Miss World final back in 2011. Bronze smokey eyes, big lashes and a nude lipstick, soft curls and a blinging cocktail ring were the finishing touches. Click here to buy Holly’s VIP Style Awards dress!
Blush & Beautiful
Lisa Duffy attended in a gorgeous blush coloured gown, which was also by MacDuggal from Cari’s Closet, that features lace trims, a waterfall slit skirt and a sheer upper bodice panel with embellishments. The bateau neckline was a nice touch to the modest dress, and her gold barely there sandals matched her bouffant hairstyle perfectly too. Click here to buy Lisa’s VIP Style Awards dress!
Looking rather regal, Celia Holman Lee attended in a stunning Ela Maria Newcastlewest gown. Her white & gold dress featured a scooped neckline, long sleeves and a textured skirt. She added oversized drop earrings and a glitzy box clutch to the look, along with a voluminous crown brushed-back hairstyle. Gorgeous!
Sineád Noonan looked great in her white dress, that featured a gold embellished halter neckline with a textured lace overlay. The statuesque look, by Starla Dresses, was well styled with a gold fold over bag, minimal jewellery and gorgeous eye makeup.
Irish model Theodora Sutra supported Irish designer Umit Kutluk by wearing his creation to the awards. Her sequin-covered dress featured off-the-shoulder straps and cut out slits on the waist. A black clutch and her pink-dyed blonde hair slicked back, she was definitely going for a fun & girly look.
Pippa O’Connor Ormond looked beautiful in her blush lace choice, as she glided down the red carpet in this number by Alice + Olivia. The dress featured a plunging neckline and a lace overlay and skirt over a minidress, that she wore with strappy metallic heels & a matching clutch by Jimmy Choo. A voluminous updo, pink lips and kohl-rimmed eye makeup with earrings by Loulerie rounded up this look well. Pippa also won the award for Most Stylish Woman! Congratulations! Lady in Red
Also opting for MacDuggal from Cari’s Closet was former Miss World Rosanna Davison. Her red lace overlay choice was a gorgeous match to her blonde locks, that hugged her curves beautifully. The risqué open back reached around to her sides, but its fit meant no wardrobe malfunctions occurred, which is always a plus. Dark eye makeup and nude pink lipstick with a nude manicure were the perfect finishing touches to her look. Click here to buy Rosanna’s VIP Style Awards dress!
Choosing red on the night, Virginia Macari wore a lace dress that she revealed she had designed & made herself. The to-the-floor look featured batwings with a high neck and plunging neckline cut out, which she accessorized with multicoloured studded pumps by Valentino and a red satin box clutch that featured a large YES sticker, in relation to Ireland’s upcoming marriage equality referendum. Pearl earrings, red lipstick and black eye makeup completed her look.
Twinzies
Opting for a glitzy & short look, top Irish model Roz Purcell looked glam in her deep purple sequin-covered mini blazer dress with its tuxedo features. The look was by the model’s own collection, Scribe by Roz, which she wore with pom-pom earrings by Tuleste and black pumps. Her gorgeous blue eyes were even more gorgeous with smokey eye makeup, that she wore her hair straight and tucked behind her with a swipe of a nude pink lip.
Adding to the glitz & glam, Daniella Moyles also wore a tuxedo-like look in silver by Scribe by Roz. The radio DJ and model opted for a contrasting colour to her friend’s look, with ruched up sleeves, a plunging neckline and a mini skirt panel. Her black strappy sandals and white sequin clutch added more oomph, while her matching straight hair & dark eye makeup were the perfect finishing touches. Roz Purcell and Daniella Moyles planned this twinzies look by the way, and Killer Fashion loves it!
Black Beauties
Opting for a full black look, curvy blogger & model Louise O’Reilly looked great in this two piece ensemble. Her Coast high-neck sleeveless top was perfectly styled with this silk skirt from Folkster. Adding a white bag and a cuff bracelet that were also from Coast to the look, the tall blonde is one inspirational fashionista on the red carpet.
Anna Daly opted for a sexy something when she stepped out in this long black dress. The bodice featured a sheer panel with an embellished design on the bust, a fishnet-lace peplum detail on the waist and a tulle skirt finish. Love the dress…hate the shoes. Anna opted for a hot pink pump to wear with this, which I really can’t stand. Such a pity!
Going for a sheer black look, Aisling Quinn attended making quite the dramatic entrance in this gown. Her sheer LBD featured a high neck and sleeve cuffs with lace trims, as well as tiered lace trims on the bodice & skirt, an oversized silk bow on the bust and silk panels on the hips and the final trim. A scarlet red matte lipstick, cat eyeliner and a slicked back updo were the perfect finishing touches for this naughty look.
Jo Archibald opted for something a little more sexy, as she stepped out in a plunging dress. Her full length gown had lace sleeves to match the skirt’s overlay, with a thin border of sequins along the neckline and an embellished waistband. A sparkly minaudière and black platform sandals accessorized the look, along with smokey eyes and a red lipstick.
Lisa Fitzpatrick was a favourite on the night, looking absolutely stunning in this evening gown from Frock N Fabulous. Her bodice featured embellished detail on the bust, neckline and sleeves on a sheer body, while the silk full skirt added all sorts of classy, beautiful drama. Her blonde locks, drop earrings and that gorgeous smile really had me smiling from ear to ear. Love it! Lisa also won the award for Look of the Year, so a big congratulations!
Choosing to mono-block for the awards, Lorraine Keane walked the red carpet in this black & white cropped two-piece, which featured a textured crop top & high-waisted full skirt, with alternating panels. I really love the fun of this Natalie B. Coleman look, which the TV presenter added a metallic box clutch, black bracelets and a curly hairstyle to.
Minty Fresh
Gail Kaneswaren attending in a mint & black look that had me a little wary. Though her dress is a good fit on the tall brunette, the black leather waistbelt and the statement necklace are just too much. Either or darling. Perfectly arched brows, subtle smokey eyes and a straight hairstyle completed Gail’s look.
Fiona Ní Flaithearta also attended in the spring pastel colour, donning a v-cut fitted full length gown, that featured triangular cut outs on the shoulders and a slight train. Her hair & makeup were totally on point and I adore that geometric box clutch she accessorized with.
Looking every bit summer-ready, actress Aoibhínn McGinnity worked the red carpet in this turquoise jumpsuit that was the perfect fit for the tall Irish gal. A plunging neckline showed off her body harness while nude pointed pumps peeped out from under the jumpsuit, matching her manicure. A rose gold leather handbag and gorgeous curls rounded up this stunner’s look.
Wearing one of the trending colours on the night, former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh worked her beautiful red hair in this mint cropped two-piece. Her look featured a crop top and a high-waisted Baroque-patterned skirt with a train, in hues of light turquoise & white. I love how simple and gorgeous this is, and styled with a light pink clutch, gemstone drop earrings and subtle smokey eyes, this look is just fab-u-ous!
Also rocking the trend was Laura Woods, whose colourblock gown was a sure winner in my eyes. Again, I adore the simplicity of this because sometimes less is more, and definitely so in this case. Blonde curls and a box clutch were the ideal accompaniments.
A Splash of Colour
Choosing to go for bright & beautiful, Kerri Nicole Blanc wore a canary yellow strapless on the red carpet. The fit & shape of this dress by Starla Dresses are just gorgeous and really accentuate Kerri’s natural curves well. A bejewelled clutch, an arm cuff, bracelet & earrings by iClothing and the most beautiful makeup finished up Kerri’s look to a tee.
Jenny Buckley opted for pink to the awards, proving that girls just wanna have fun. Her strapless off-the-shoulders look featured fluffy feather fringing and a long train that showcased its silk lining. A silver foldover clutch, curled sideswept hair and subtle pink smokey eyes with oversized drop earrings rounded up her look.
Also looking pretty in pink was Laura Scanlon. Her candy-coloured dress was simple & sweet, though she spiced things up with her box clutch and jewellery, and rounded up with a high ponytail, smokey eyes and pink lipgloss finish.
Looking fresh-faced post-pregnancy, Jennifer Maguire hit the red carpet in this red & white two piece. Her silk crop top and high-waisted midi skirt were the perfect simplistically beautifully pieces together, that she upped the ante with red patent pumps, a bejewelled white box clutch, perfectly lined eyes and red lipstick too. Just gorgeous!
My friend Lisa McLoughlin was also in attendance, looking fabulous in a dark green gown that featured a keyhole sheer panel on the bust. Adding a bronze statement necklace and a white blazer to the look, Lisa stood out on the red carpet. A bronze smokey eye and straight-styled hair, she looked every bit the part for the night.
