As many of you lovely fans, friends & subscribers know, Killer Fashion had been nominated in the Littlewoods Ireland and PR Slides Blog & Online Publications Awards in the Best Fashion Read category. So after some intense waiting around, the day had finally come and Killer Fashion was going to the awards ceremony in one of my favourite bars in Dublin, Café En Seine, in style.
Designer & High Street
For the awards I thought of what type of dress and what colour I’d like to wear (see the styles I thought of here), and I opted for classic red with a nude panel twist. This Oasis dress features lace half-sleeves, with nude panels on the bodice, more lace detailing on the back and bodice and cuts off above the knee. I loved it at first sight, and it fits (me) like a glove, which are instant brownie points.
I’ve had my eye on these Carvela heels for a while now. In fact they were featured in my April Wishlist post! So I was more than happy to find them on sale at BT2 Dundrum when shopping last week! They are very comfy, and I love the chain detail on the ankle strap.
I also bought and wore this nude leather jacket by Therapy at House of Fraser. It features gold studs on the lapels and is a great evening jacket with it’s warm lining. A perfect alternative to the black Redial jacket I bought last month.
I also got to use my new Michael Kors white wristlet wallet, which fits my phone, cards, cash & keys perfectly. (And naughty Caoimhe encouraging these two gorgeous buys – thanks though!)
As for my makeup regime, I opted for my usual Yves Saint Laurent face, my red hot Lancôme lipstick, L’Oréal Paris eyeliner & mascara and went all-out and used my Chanel smokey eye shadow set. I also opened my Marc Jacobs ‘Eau So Fresh’ perfume for the first time, as I’ve finally finished my Christina Aguilera one. Perfect timing!

Caoimhe wore a Black Bandage Dress from 15euro Or Less with cut out back detail, Penneys Two Tone Leather Jacket, River Island Barely There t-bar sandals and a Penneys coral & gold statement collar necklace which matched her assortment of midi rings, and finished with Ted Baker Faked To Perfection stick on nails.
Fíona wore Penneys Spring 2013 Yellow Polka Dot Dress with a cute lace collar and keyhole detail and a Penneys lace jacket, New Look Brown Strappy Wedges, a gold fishscale cuff bracelet was from Parfois, which is a shop in portugal that’s recently opened on up on Henry Street, and vintage earrings.
And Chloë wore a sleek Forever 21 Black Velveteen Skater Dress, Bershka Short Black Blazer and Red Herring Black Pumps with bow detail, along with green & gold chandelier drop earrings and two over-the-knuckle rings. They all looked gorgeous from head to toe!
The girls and I had an absolute blast, it was such a huge honour to be nominated alongside some of my personal favourite websites like So Sue Me and Her.ie, and also fellow bloggers Miriam & Aoife at Town Mouse Country Mouse. As well as those fab girls, Killer Fashion was nominated against Evoke.ie, Angela Scanlon, major Irish fashion mag and online blog Image Daily and blogs Help My Style, Thunder and Threads and Frillseeker.ie.
