The 13th Peter Mark VIP Style Awards took place Friday night at the prestigious The Marker Hotel in Dublin. The red carpet was glistened with Irish beauties, from TV presenters, actresses and models alike, donning the most gorgeous of dresses, two-pieces and jumpsuits. It was a really brilliant night, with some of my personal favourite Irish ladies and men winning on the night. So without further ado, take a look at Killer Fashion’s best dressed at this year’s VIP Style Awards.
White Hot
Vogue McFadden attended with her hubby Brian McFadden, and she looked hot in a white & silver little number. The dress featured a silver textured high scoop neckline top-half and a sleek white crepe bottom-half, with an exposed front zip that ended above the knee. Vogue kept her styling very neutral with dewy makeup, thick mascara and a nude lip. Perfect!
Vogue’s Fade Street co-star Louise Johnston also wore white. She wore a midi dress with cut outs on the shoulders and a narrow v-neckline, which she styled with a rose gold waistbelt, a salmon pink & cream clutch and nude strappy sandals. Dramatic eye makeup and a bronze-pink lipstick completed Louise’s look.
Pippa O’Connor Ormond also attended in white with her husband Brian Ormond. Her dress, from The Ivory Closet, was a gorgeous strapless number, with interesting pleating on the bust that fell perfectly onto Pippa’s fabulous body emphasizing her statuesque self. She teamed it with a floral printed fold over clutch by Accessorize, berry pink lipgloss and big lashes. Gorgeous from head to toe, Pippa!
My beloved Madeline Mulqueen stunned in her white dress also by The Ivory Closet. The Irish model’s dress featured mesh cut outs on the bodice and sides with a bewelled scoop neckline. A white patent box clutch and a chic plaited updo complimented the dress, and her dark eye makeup contrasted well with her baby pink lipstick. Another gorgeous look!
Lorraine Keane continued the white trend donning Irish designer Marion Murphy-Cooney. Her full-length dress was teamed with a pearl embellished neckpiece and a matching glitzy bronze clutch. Lorraine looked absolutely stunning with her super chic updo and kohl-rimmed eyes.
Black Beauties
Irish model Sarah McGovern wore a gorgeous black dress by Irish designer Frock n Fabulous. The dress featured a plunging neckline illusion via the mesh panel, with peplum detailing and a contrasting white-on-black ruffle detail down the back to the hem. The blonde beauty wore red lipstick that matched her manicure and soft sideswept waves. She attended with BFF Ruth Griffin, who wore a beautifully crisp white suit sans shirt. Her pants cut off above the ankle showing off her lovely python cross strap heels that also matched her clutch. Ruth also wore red lippy and a red manicure.
Maïa Dunphy chose high street donning a black jumpsuit by Oasis, which she styled with an oversized cross strap waistbelt by Mango. She teamed the look with taupe suede pumps and a chic updo. I love the makeup Maïa opted for, dewy with a hint of sexy to complete the look.
Sinéad Kennedy wore a black & white look, wearing a Folkster dress & jacket. Her dress featured a mini dress with a mesh overlay and silver waistbelt, whereas the white jacket was an off-the-shoulder type of blazer, with graphic birds on the shoulders. Sinéad rocked the look with her silver blonde faux hawk quiff, kohl-rimmed eyes and a matte pink lipstick.
TV3’s Lisa Cannon attended the awards in Suzanne Neville. Her black gown featured a half caviar beaded-half pleated sash peplum bodice with an A-line skirt and full train that also featured a thigh-high split. Her statement plum red hair that shone in its Old Hollywood glamour curls met the statement dress perfectly. It was a great look for Lisa, and she was all-smiles as the countdown to her wedding continues. Rocks Jewellers minimal accessories completed the look.
Colour Crazy
My beloved funny gal Jennifer Maguire absolutely stunned in this nude number from Covet at Powerscourt. Her dress featured embellishment on the shoulders with mesh panels, and fell all the way down on Jennifer’s perfect body. She styled the look with a collar necklace, a selection of midi rings, a cuff bracelet and a rose gold & black clutch box too. I really love her hair like this, her brown locks are such a lovely hue and Jen was all-smiles, with Inglot makeup to complete. Absolutely love this look.
My favourite model and Irish idol Holly Carpenter really repped her Irish roots donning an Eamonn McGill forest green jumpsuit. The plunging look was super sexy on the model, with flared hems, which she styled with slicked back hair and CoraLlei‘s ‘BiBi’ oversized bag.
Super Irish model Roz Purcell knocked it out of the park in her custom Lapel 1865 blue suit. The model rocked a suit sans shirt look with black pumps and a black & white clutch, with long hair to boot, and picked up Best Dressed Award on the night, congrats!
Rosanna Davison was a fabulous look on the red carpet donning a hot pink outfit by Dawn Fitzgerald Atelier. The former Miss World and bride-to-be glowed in her strapless two-tiered gown with its black embellishments that matched her black clutch, and contrasted beautifully with her blonde locks. Rosanna also won Most Stylish Woman on the night, congrats!!
The gorgeous Kathryn Thomas wore a hot pink to the awards, which was refreshing look to her past outfits during awards season. Kathryn chose to wear Umit Kutluk, and her straight keyhole off-the-shoulder dress was beautiful on the TV presenter. She styled it with a mint clutch & ring and a gold clutch, which all worked in her favour.
Miss Ireland 2013 Aoife Walsh joined fellow models on the red carpet wearing a colour block dress from The Ivory Closet. Her pastel pink, yellow & silver asymmetrical gown looked fabulous on the statuesque model and worked with her red hair surprisingly well. Her Crystal & Co. drop earrings and clutch were a great addition to the look.
Aoibhinn McGinnity looked very pretty in pink, donning Marion Murphy-Cooney. Her two-piece look worked perfectly for the young actress, showing off a bit of flesh without overdoing the look. Her t-shirt and waterfall skirt ensemble was teamed with floral printed cross strap heels, a navy clutch box, a selection of bangles and rings. This really worked for Aoibhinn, emphasizing her young style well.
Laura Woods chose a midnight blue look by Fran & Jane. Her fully lace gown featured a scalloped mi-high neckline and capped shoulders, that she teamed with a box clutch and a chic updo to finish.
Diana Bunici was a fresh look on the carpet in her blue & white look. Her dress featured blue floral baroque style graphic print on white, with capped sleeves and a high-scooped neckline. She opted for a pastel pink clutch, red lipstick and a quiff ponytail.
Metallic Mania
Lucy Kennedy hit it out of the park in her shimmering Frock n Fabulous silver gown. Her V-neck dress had contrasting embellished patterns on the bodice to its fully embellished skirt. Lucy’s smile was a great addition to the look, as was her matching pavé clutch and taupe manicure.
Though not necessarily donning a metallic look, Sinéad Dunphy wore a dark grey look also by Frock n Fabulous. Her bandage dress featured a ruffled skirt from the knee down that looked great on her hourglass figure.
English singer/actress Michelle Heaton also made it over to the Green Isle for the night, attending in a custom Piamichi gown. Her gold embellished white gown featured heavy baroque detailing on the bodice that matched her honeycomb hair. She also held a pavé clutch to finish.
Glenda Gilson attended the awards wearing Irish designer Johanna Johnson. The TV3 presenter stunned in her silver fully sequined plunging gown that matched her ear-to-ear smile. She looked truly wondrous, accessorizing with Knightsbridge jewels.
Mama-to-be Michelle Doherty donned Folkster for her gorgeous maternity look. Her grey pearl lined gown looked fabulous on the actress, with an embellished neckline and a black hue clutch to match her Old Hollywood updo and look. I adore this on Michelle!
The men of the night did pretty darn well too! Connor McGregor took home Best Stylish Man Award donning a blue pinstriped three-piece suit with a lilac pocket square by Louis Copeland and tan shoes, while my beloved Darren Kennedy also wore Louis Copeland but in a checkered pattern with dark brown brogues and tie. Sean Munsaje also looked great wearing a dark blue suit whereas Daithí O’Shea looked fab in a black and dark turquoise velvet look, and the two married-off Brians, Brian McFadden and Brian Ormond, looked great in blue-on-grey and blue-on-black suits respectively.
