Last night the 20th Annual Screen Actor’s Guild Awards were held in Los Angeles. The prestigious awards ceremony was full of the biggest film and TV stars, at the awards show of awards shows that really has fun on the carpet and inside the ceremony.
Blue is the New Black
Amy Adams wowed in a royal blue number by Antonia Berardi. The beautiful architectural dress features a cut out on the neckline, bust & shoulder, a beautifully embellished crystal waistband and an above-the-knee split that showcased her elegant peeptoe heels by Jimmy Choo. A coral lip and blue & green drop earrings completed this gorgeous look. Amy won alongside her costars for Outstanding Performance By A Cast in a Motion Picture for ‘American Hustle’!
Lupita Nyong’o has done it again! The gorgeous actress wore a turquoise Gucci dress with a floral & leaf motif on the collar & neckline that crosses over at the back, which all compliments the simple silhouette shaped dress. She styled the look with a Debra Lipmann gold manicure and a Fred Leighton gold oversized ring to complete the look. She matched her eyeshadow to a similar blue & purple hue and finished with a red lipgloss. Lupita also won Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor in a Supporting Role for ’12 Years A Slave’!
Ariel Winter wore Badley Mischka Spring 2014 to the awards show. She looked beautiful & bodacious in a mix of blue that features floral motifs and straps of dark blue to contrast the gown. She matched her silk blue bag to the look, along with silvery-blue eye make up and a soft pink nude lipstick. Ariel won alongside her costars for Outstanding Performance By an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for ‘Modern Family’!
Anna Gunn stunned in Monique Lhuillier, as she turned heads in her midnight blue floor length gown. Her all-over beaded dress looked stunning against her blonde do & milky complexion, with an extra pop of colour with the Irene Neuwirth drop earrings and an Edie Parker clutch that was customized with the ‘Breaking Bad’ logo.
The beautiful Jennifer Garner attended the SAGs, which I was very happy about. Her lovely Max Mara gown was a deep midnight blue with a patent black waistbelt, which she wore with round drop earrings by David Webb Jewellery. Her scooped updo was very complimentary and Jennifer finished off the look with bronze smokey eyes and a barely there lipgloss.
Kathy Griffin wore a dark blue Antonio Barardi dress, that features peplum detailing on the waist and capped sleeves. Her oversized beige & silver floral ring is matched her dark beige manicure which contrasted well with her strawberry blonde hairdo. I really love this look on her.
Morena Baccarin looked amazing post-baby, in a royal blue draped dress by Monique Lhuillier. Her low cut dress with shoulder straps looked wonderful on the Brazilian actress, which she finished off with a serious sparkling diamond cuff & stud earrings. Gorgeous!
Classic in Black
Jennifer Lawrence looked young and fun in a deep coloured black, red, purple and blue shimmering column dress. Her Christian Dior designed strapless dress was fully sequin embellished with a back split that gave us a glimpse of her Brian Atwood ‘Tribeca’ heels. I am loving her pixie cut more and more, and she’s complimented it well with her Jennifer Meyer Jewellery drop earrings. Jennifer won alongside her costars for Outstanding Performance By A Cast in a Motion Picture for ‘American Hustle’!
Katrina Bowden looked feisty wearing a crepe black & gold dress by Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2014 that features a fully embellished upper bodice & neckline. Her straight blonde hair was a perfect pairing to the look, which she finished with smokey eyes and a black & gold box clutch to complete her powerful look.
Dame Helen Mirren looked just so amazing on the red caret. The OBE actress wore an Escada Pre-Fall 2014 black gown with gold abstract leaf motifs. She wore the gown with Neil Lane Jewelry and Dolce & Gabbana heels, styled her hair in a combed back do which showed off her gold & black drop earrings, wore a coral lippy and charcoal eyeshadow. Michelle teamed the look with David Yurman jewellery, a Calvin Klein clutch and bold matte red lipstick.
Pretty Pastels
Kaley Cuoco Sweeting looked so beautiful last night. Her silvery-grey ethereal gown by Vera Wang, which featured a fishtail skirting, a draped bodice and sweetheart neckline, was so gorgeous on the ‘The Big Bang Theory’ actress. The newlywed glowed as she teamed the look with a royal blue eyeshadow and pink lipstick, as well as a sparkly cuff bracelet by Lorraine Schwartz, Jimmy Choo heels and a matching silvery-grey clutch by Salvatore Ferragamo.
Sarah Hyland looked very sweet in a nude pink dress by Pamella Roland Spring 2014 with its gathered pleated detailing on the front and pockets. Keeping with the trend, her waterfall cut dress showed off her sparkly Jimmy Choo ‘Sparkler’ shoes, which matched her bag and her minimal Lorraine Schwartz jewellery. Her dark hair was sideswept helped contrast the look as did her barely there make up, which was highlighted by those sexy dark brows. Isla Fisher brought out sexy Old Hollywood glamour in a silky ivory gown by Oscar de la Renta. Her v-cut gown was simple yet still sexy and she added green & silver diamond bracelets and drop earrings by Bvlgari, a silver glittery Salvatore Ferragamo box clutch and Christian Louboutin heels. Her red tresses were complimented by a berry lipstick; just gorgeous!
Elisabeth Röhm wore full on lace in her Marchesa Resort 2014 dress with its scalloped neckline. Her blush-coloured dress features chiffon floral appliqué & beading on the shoulders and lower skirt, and is just beautiful on her. She did her hair in a beach style bun and added little crystalized hair clips for some sparkle. The actress added drop earrings and dewy make up to finish her bright & beautiful look. Elisabeth won alongside her costars for Outstanding Performance By A Cast in a Motion Picture for ‘American Hustle’!
Hannah Simone stepped out in Marchesa Resort 2014, which really suits the ‘New Girl’ nominated actress. Her slate blue pleated gown features floral appliqué at the neckline and an cinched in waistband to give the actress an hourglass silhouette.
Bright and Beautiful
‘Modern Family’ actress Julie Bowen was bright and bold in Carolina Herrera with a v-scooped neckline to add sexiness. Her orange, white & brown dress complimented her make up and her voluminous ponytail, which just added even more sexiness to the look. She added a Rauwolf ‘Octagon Gemstone’ clutch and heels by Jerome C. Rousseau. It’s safe to say that I loved Julie’s style for the SAGs! Julie won alongside her costars for Outstanding Performance By an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for ‘Modern Family’!
Julie’s costar Sofía Vergara looked amazingly sexy (as always) in a fully embellished Donna Karan Atelier silver gown that literally sparkled from head to toe and in the back, as it had a cowl scoop with a little strap across. It wouldn’t be a look without Sofía’s addition of a glittering green & silver bejeweled Amrapali statement necklace. The Colombian beauty opted for wavy hair, cat eyes and a matte pink lipstick. I just love it all! Sofía won alongside her costars for Outstanding Performance By an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for ‘Modern Family’!
Sandra Bullock went for another colourful number by Lanvin. Her shimmery textured and gathered green dress looked wondrous on the red carpet. The asymmetrical thigh high cut showed off Sandra’s silver Jimmy Choo ‘Valetta’ sandals, which also matched her Roger Vivier ‘Boite de Nuit’ clutch. She kept it fun with a messy bun, smokey eyes and soft pink lipstick.
Camila Alves wore a mustard yellow vintage Donna Karan Atelier dress with a scooped v-cut neckline, draped detailing, a side split and a long train. The Brazilian babe showed off her Casadei T-bar sandals. Her husband Matthew McConaughey also looked dashing in a Dolce & Gabbana suit; they were both just such a hot couple on the red carpet. Matthew also won Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Leading Role for ‘Dallas Buyers Club’!
Giuliani Rancic wore a radiant orchid gown, the colour of the year, by Basil Soda Spring 2014. Her crossover halter gown features a peekaboo keyhole with a thin black waistband and slight pleated tulip skirt. Her brushed back dark brunette bob really complimented her dark make up and nude lippy, which she finished off with earrings by M.C.L., rings by Colette and State Room. She looked so fab!
Sasha Alexander wore an Alberta Ferretti dress. Her red strapless gown features a waterfall hem on the skirt showing off her Jimmy Choo shoes, which she styled with minimal Forever Mark jewellery and a chic black satin clutch.
Renee Bargh stunned in a red lace & crepe gown, with its sweetheart bodice under the lace overlay. Her Steven Khalil dress had an extra long train with extra waistband trims, which she teamed with a gold metallic box clutch. Her straight her was a refreshing look with the trending curls her fellow actresses wore.
