Awards Season is finally here!
We are back with my favourite fashion time of the year, as the first awards ceremony of 2020 kicked off on Sunday (January 5) with the 77th annual Golden Globe Awards 2020. Held at the usual venue of The Beverly Hilton Hotel, California, this year marked a welcomed return for Ricky Gervais who hosted the ceremony once again. Every red carpet though, it’s eyes on the fashionable pre-show, which was full of beautiful dresses, suits and overall style. So without further delay, here is the very first red carpet report of the new decade and the Killer Fashion Best Dressed List for the Golden Globes 2020.
Killer Fashion Choice
Picking the first gown to wear on the first red carpet event of awards season is a toughie, but no designer and collection can do it better than the Elie Saab Fall 2019 Couture. I love the dark teal hue against the gold embroidered detailing and the flash of metallic gold under the belt. And then there’s the asymmetrical neckline with the exggerated draped shoulder, the deep pleating and of course that high leg skirt split. I am in love!
