It’s been a while since I’ve solely written about fashion, specifically designer and couture fashion; but recently the newest collections from the world’s best designers were revealed and I am in LOVE! There is something very beautiful about looking through the upcoming Fall 2019 Season‘s looks, and the runway collections sure were that.
From my beloved designers Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad, to the classics Armani and Chanel, and discovering new designers, Fall 2019 Ready-to-Wear and Couture did not disappoint! Read on to see my Top Killer Fashion Looks from this season and get ready to be inspired!
Chanel Fall 2019 Ready-to-Wear
This Chanel collection was the last by the iconic Karl Lagerfeld, and its accompanying fashion show was quite a poignant farewell. My favourite features are the contrasting checks, signature Chanel houndstooth and tweed, soft woolly textures, the monochrome mixed with earthy and jewel tones, ruffles, and embellishments.
Galia Lahav Fall 2019 Ready-to-Wear
I’ve been a fan of Israeli fashion designer Galia Lahav for a while now, and I love the extravagance of her designs. My favourite features were the deep-v necklines and soft, luscious materials teamed with edgy embellishment, and that vintage glamour to each look.
Antonio Berardi Fall 2019 Ready-to-Wear
Taking another step back into time, British designer Antonio Berardi‘s latest collection was all sorts of homage to 80s and 90s glamour. My favourite features were the bold colours, flared sleeves and ruffles, and of course THAT dress with the beaded cut out criss cross down the sides.
Antonio Croce Fall 2019 Ready-to-Wear
A new fashion designer on my radar, Italian Antonio Croce has a beautiful way with colours and leather. My favourite features are the tailored finishes, military details and romantic, autumnal colours.
Zuhair Murad Fall 2019 Ready-to-Wear
My love for Zuhair Murad is everlasting, and once again he’s given us a stellar collection to be in awe of. My favourite features are the multitude of colourful embellishments, the bright colours with noir, delicate lace and ethereal silhouettes.
Silvia Tcherassi Fall 2019 Ready-to-Wear
Another new designer I’ve discovered this season, Miami-based Colombian-born designer Silvia Tcherassi gives plaid checks a new breath of my life in her autumnal collection. My favourite features are the soft silhouettes, contrasting plaid & check patterns and the bold peplum cuts.
Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition Fall 2019 Couture
There is such an aura of ethereal design in the Alberta Ferretti Couture collection for her Fall 2019 line, though one wouldn’t expect any less from the Italian maestra. My favourite features are the different uses of tulle and silk, subtle sculptured shapes, the intricate lace, Jacquard and the contrast of powerful embellishment.
Elie Saab Fall 2019 Couture
Returning to one of my most favourite designers (the other being fellow Lebanese Zuhair Murad), Elie Saab continues to impress as he dressed his models in the most gorgeous gown, influenced by the Oriental East. My favourite features are the colour palette from jewel tones to pastels, velvet and silk textures, intricate embellishments and gold accents, and all of the Asian vibes. (PS: It was near impossible not to just include all 58 looks!)
Antonio Grimaldi Fall 2019 Couture
Antonio Grimaldi is another new designer on my radar, hailing from Italy and giving us new ways to look at shapes in fashion. My favourite features are the monochrome hues mixed with pops of colour, the scooped shapes, high necks and cut outs, and edgy metallics while softening the looks with feathers, embellishments.
Alexis Mabille Fall 2019 Couture
One designer whose work has tugged at my hopeless romantic heartstrings is Alexis Mabille. The French designer’s work this season boasts elegance and romance, with an aura of dressing a goddess. My favourite features are the extravagant shapes, the heavenly match of lace, tulle and soft silk, tiered gowns and mermaid cuts and the soft colour palette.
Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2019 Couture
From one French designer to the next, Alexandre Vauthier‘s newest season collection is an interesting combination of tailored masculine and soft feminine looks, both for the ladies. My favourite features are the relaxed tailored cuts in monochrome and mixed with glittering sequins alongside bright pops of colour, ruffled and tiered designs.
Armani Privé Fall 2019 Couture
Is it any wonder Giorgio Armani is one of the godfathers of fashion when his second couture collection this year has over 80 looks?! Armani Privé showcased a sublime range of tailored looks with girly pastels and romantic details. My favourite features are the many tiered, tulle and netted looks, polka dots and glistening sequins, the candy pastels, and how every model wore a miniature rosette atop her head.
