Last week I jetted off to Paris with my bestie Lorna (of Fashion Boss) for a couple of days of fashion, food and fun! The last few times I’d visited the French capital were on business trips, and before that I was a young teenager visiting family with my Mam. Therefore, to head away on a leisurely trip was quite exciting, and you just know I had to look the part.
I have always been a fan of Parisian style, it is known as the fashion capital for a reason! From Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl to the catwalk during Fashion Week, Christian Louboutin and Chanel, there are many reasons why I find Parisian style so iconic.
I’m very grateful to Una at Dresses.ie who kindly collaborated on the fashion side of my trip. Without realising it, my case was packed with only red, black and white clothes! Magnifique!
Red Stripe Button Down Skater Dress
For a day of exploring, what better way than in a little skater dress! This cute pinstripe red & white number felt quite Parisian indeed, with its thin straps, button detail and light material. Teamed with my new all-leather white & rosegold Converse and red beret I was surely ready for Paris! We visited the Trocadéro and Eiffel Tower, then had a charcuterie & cheese break with a glass of rosé at a nearby restaurant.

Short Sleeved Tweed Shift Dress
For dinner at Café Saint Honoré, I wanted to channel the queen of French fashion, Coco Chanel. This gorgeous black and white tweed dress was perfect for such an occasion. It features short sleeves and pockets in a shift style, which I wore with my red suede court heels and red Chanel lipstick. Sharing a carafe of Merlot over steak and rustic potatoes, it was the perfect foodie kickstart to our trip. We ended the night with cocktails at Le Nemours, then walked through the Place de Louvre, which was beautifully lit.

Sports Stripe Pleated Midi Skirt
I’m not the biggest fan of a midi length, but when I spotted this pleated skirt I knew it’d be perfect for the trip. I styled it with a simple black tank and my beret, slip-on espadrilles and Yves Saint Laurent Tatouge Couture to let the skirt do all the talking. I love how flowy and comfortable it is! We had a delightful breakfast at the beautiful Maison Ladurée (I’ve always wanted to dine there!), and walked up Avenue des Champs-Élysées to Arc de Triomphe.

Sleeveless Biker Jacket
My love for all things biker cool continues as this was one of my favourite pieces for the trip, that worked so well with everything. It must be my obsession of Michelle Pfeiffer in Grease 2! The fit, soft smooth leather and biker details had me in love at first sight. I wore this gilet a couple of different ways, including with the below Dresses.ie skirt by day and my red playsuit by night.

Red Textured Cotton Paperbag Mini Skirt
This comfy skirt features button up detail and a ribbon belt, which I wore with my beret, and the faux leather biker jacket. A high-waisted skirt, it was comfortable for walking around at exploring more of the ‘city of love’. We had lunch a Restaurant l’Avenue, where celebrities Rihanna, Beyoncé and Jessica Alba have also dined. This fine dining experience is in the middle of Avenue Montaigne, among designer boutiques like Chanel, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Cartier, Céline and more.

Silky Cowl Bodysuit
I’m delighted we visited Café Marly for breakfast with a view! A seductive little number, this cowl bodysuit was perfect for daytime too, which I teamed with my black asymmetrical cut skort and my red leather jacket. Toning it down with my Converse, it was a nice cooling outfit for the many steps we made in the hot sun while visiting the Musée de Louvre, Jardins des Tuileres and Sacre Couer at Montmartre. This will be gorge for nighttime drinks and date nights back in Dublin too!
