Winter is one of my favourite times of the year. Anyone who knows me, knows that I adore the snow and icy landscapes, and strangely enough I don’t get cold too often. But Warsaw, Poland did delivered on the winter wonderland fantasy, with its freezing temperatures, and admittedly, had me shaking in my boots a few times. Lorna and I headed over for what turned out to be a weeklong holiday, thanks to the snowstorm we were ‘stuck’ in Warsaw for a few days longer than planned. We made the absolute most of it, exploring the city, seeing the sights and indulging in Polish cuisine.
Keep your eyes on my lifestyle blog Cookie FM for my full holiday diary blog post and my own recommendations, because here on Killer Fashion it’s all about the fashion! Working with brands that I love is one of my favourite aspects of blogging, therefore I was delighted and very grateful that top online retailer Dresses.ie and I collaborated together for this holiday. Their Spring/Summer 2018 collection has just dropped, and I was lucky to wear a few of these gorgeous pieces while abroad.
(I also teamed up with Regatta Great Outdoors for the holiday – check out the style diary post here!)
We of course wrapped up for this trip to the Eastern European city, and knowing in advance that the temperatures in the Polish capital would be between 3°C and -13°C…we definitely needed to layer up! On one of our many days out, I wanted to add a pop of my signature colour, and wore this cute Red Side Stripe Bodycon Mini Dress and added the Regatta Brienna Waterproof Insulated Hooded Jacket in Fig to keep me warm. I love the 90s Sporty Spice vibes from the mini dress, and of course its bold colour, plus the dress is very comfortable and great for dressing up or down. The jacket kept me nice and warm, and complimented the dress and my outfit perfectly – plus it’s great for the chilly weather we still have in Ireland following Storm Emma!

For dinner at POLKA by Magda Gessler, (which was excellent and I highly recommend it!), I opted for this cosy V Neck Jumper that I styled with the Black Zip Through PU Skirt. I really like the twist detail of the jumper and its slight off-the-shoulder style, complimenting my Thomas Sabo choker & charms necklace.Together they worked really nicely, and gave my body shape extra oomph! The jumper was also warm for walking around Warsaw in, and with my YSL Beauty Tatouge Couture Matte Lip Stain I had even more pep in my step!
I absolutely love the Black Zip Through PU Skirt, it’s very complimentary of my body shape and is so versatile. I often wore it while in Warsaw, and on another day in particular I teamed it up with my scarlet red Regatta Bayeur II Lightweight Waterproof Jacket, a simple string top and boots. I do love my black & red combinations!

Another evening, another gorgeous dress, so for dinner at the Panorama Sky Lounge at The Marriott Hotel (a must-do when visiting Warsaw), I whipped this bright Floral Tie Knot Front Dress on. The colours are gorgeous and I love the floral print, it’s very Spring-forward! The front tie knot detail is very fun, and with the midi sleeves and subtle keyhole cut out it makes for a lovely little day or night dress. And of course with the red colours, I styled my Miss Selfridge red leather jacket and black accessories for contrast. Ideal for a night of wining & dining, (it hides the ‘food baby’ very well too!), I felt very comfortable in this little number.
