I’m always excited about new jewellery, and especially so when it’s from my favourite jewellery brand. On Tuesday afternoon (January 23rd), I had the pleasure of attending the Spring/Summer 2018 event launch for Thomas Sabo, as they revealed their new collections, the Tropical Series and Generation CC.
The former of the new collections, the Tropical Series, features a lot more colour and is truly perfect for the Spring/Summer season ahead. The two collections go hand in hand, as the parrot, starfish and feathers motifs play a big role in both collections. The vividly coloured pieces are very special, as some are hand painted enamel while others feature glistening gemstones. The serpent is also a big feature within the new pieces, with necklaces, rings, bangles and single earrings available.
Our Tropical Series interprets the contrast between the dark green of the jungle, the colours of the animals and plants and sparkling light reflections in masterfully crafted jewellery creations. – Susanne Kölbli, Creative Director
Making a statement will be easy with this new Thomas Sabo collection, as filigree is a big design for the pendants in the range. Adding to the parrot and starfish motifs, sunstone amulets and Aztec-inspired patterns feature strongly throughout, laden with more colour. Karma Beads will also have new additions to the range as the Tropical Series upgrades the variety of beads available. From pearls in shells to silver-encased turquoise beads, and more colourful beads inspired by Aztec patterns, the list goes on! Available in both Sterling Silver and Gold, these pieces will be much more than just jewellery to the wearer, but special symbols of strength, friendship and adventure.
The Tropical Series is now available online at thomassabo.com, and at Thomas Sabo counters nationwide from January 29th
In addition to this, the latter new collection, Generation Charm Club (CC), focuses on the new Charm Club additions, notably charms for the new necklaces and pendant rings, allowing the customer to create a unique necklace of their own. Taking inspiration from worldwide traveling, the new range includes 260 restyled charms such as the parrot and butterfly, the half-crescent moon and cactus, starfish, feather, flamingo, crosses and astrological discs, most of which are longer and bigger than the usual bracelet charms. As well as incorporating a lot of colour into the range, the new charms also feature gold pieces and those adorned by precious stones.
What makes the new Generation CC range so special, is that they can be hooked onto the pendant rings that hang off long and short necklaces, as well as a chain link necklace. The new charms also feature dazzling hearts and marbled moons, reminiscent of mood rings from back in the day. For the men, there are also new additions to the Vintage Rebel range that integrates a lot of black, and features charms such as skulls, crosses, crowns and also Gothic lettering. Many of these pieces are also finished off with onyx pavé for an extra edgy touch.
We have completely reworked and re-invented our Charm designs. By means of the new alignment of the collection, new pricing and combination options, we would now like to reach all of our customers, above and beyond the loyal fans of the collection. – Thomas Sabo, Company Founder
Generation CC will be available at Thomas Sabo counters nationwide, and online at thomassabo.com, from February 16th
Exploring more of their new designs, the new watches in the line up include the one Men’s Watch in particular that I’ve fallen in love with – I adore its raised strap design and the clean black face. Circle designs and charm-like styles are also fresh additions to the Thomas Sabo jewellery, alongside more precious gemstones, marbled designs and pearl accents. The menswear range, dubbed Rebel At Heart, also has been upgraded with more beaded bracelets, bold statement rings with motifs of skulls, feathers and crosses too.
A big thank you to Thomas Sabo for their generous gift, and to Jenny, Caitriona & the Revolve PR Team for their brilliant organisation and invite, and to the staff at the Herbert Park Hotel for their delicious lunch servings.
