Christmas is Coming: What to Wear for the Party Season – Gentlemen

The Christmas countdown is official as the temperatures drop and morning frost begins to form. By now I hope you’ve read and enjoyed my first part of the Christmas style guide, but you surely noticed it was all about the lovely ladies. I haven’t forgotten about the gentlemen, as for my male readers I’ve got something up my sleeve for you.

You know that I’m a big fan of the dapper look, tailored suits, smart shoes and well-groomed gents, but I also know that not every man dresses like this during the festive season. Check out today’s selection of what to wear for all parties and any special occasions you have during Christmas. Similar to my ladies’ piece, I’ve scoured the internet with three different budgets in mind, available online and in store.

Affordable Attire – Under €50

Shirts are plentiful for the festive season, but you won’t need to break the bank with the great selections from Zara as well as brands at ASOS. If you’re looking for high quality knitwear then look to Selected and River Island, while Boohoo Man and Topman have a handful of great pieces too.

Midway to Midnight – Under €100

When you can afford to pay that little extra, it can go a long way. From waistcoats to the details of a good pair of trousers, to unique blazers and full suits, there is a lot you can buy for under the triple digit mark. To name a few, check out what Next, Boohoo Man, Noose & Monkey at ASOS have in store.

The Sky’s the Limit – Over €100

The Christmas season is full of fun festivities, and if you can, make that extra effort and dress to impress. Invest in a statement blazer, splurge on that suit or pick out a new coat that’s going to last a decade. River Island, Zara and Ted Baker house a dapper selection of pieces, while brands at both ASOS and Next have serious stand out pieces.
