Well, the big one was last night and it was wonderful. Yesterday evening (February 26) the annual 89th Academy Awards (Oscars) 2017 took place in the traditional venue of the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles. The ceremony was full of memorable moments, including host Jimmy Kimmel‘s opening monologue (which you can watch here), as well as the many tearjerking acceptance speeches and musical performances. Just like the past few years, I stayed up to watch the red carpet show before watching the ceremony live (bedtime was 5.30am!) – and all I can say is…WOW! This was a fantastic turnout and a beautiful fashion showcase, as it always is! There were jaw-dropping gowns and a lot of very well-dressed men. So who made the Killer Fashion Best Dressed List this year, and who won the big awards at the Oscars 2017?
Killer Fashion Choice
To be honest, choosing just one gown for the Oscars red carpet was a toughie so in a way I’m glad I don’t have to in real life! However, when I saw this Ralph & Russo Fall 2016 gown, I knew it’d be the right one! I adore the powder pink hue of the body, with its asymmetrical exaggerated peplum tiers and the pink, lilac & silver white floral embroidery that contrasts beautifully against the body. The curved neckline and strapless finish are perfect finishing touches to this gown. I’m just in awe of Ralph & Russo’s designs.
