Well, music’s biggest awards ceremony took place last night (February 12) at The Staples Center in Los Angeles, and my gosh what a wonderful evening it was, easily so when hosted by James Corden! One of the most highly anticipated awards shows of the season, it always promises amazing performances, well-deserving award recipients and of course, the fantastic fashion on the red carpet. So without further ado, here is the Killer Fashion Best Dressed List for this year’s Grammys!
**Please note: spoilers below**
Killer Fashion Choice
The Grammys are the biggest awards for the music industry, and with that in mind I would go all out and wear this gorgeous gown from the Zuhair Murad Spring 2016 Couture collection. I adore the salmon pink hue, the floral lace embroidered design with the short sleeves and that fabulous exaggerated full skirt. The sheer of the bodice is also a beautiful touch, signature of the designer’s style, though I would leave the metal belt off.

The Best Dressed
Country star and nominee Carrie Underwood stepped out wearing a Elie Madi dress. The scarlet red look featured shimmering sequin lines over embroidery with mesh peekaboo and heavy sequined trims with a diamond cutout on the bodice that complimented the high mid cut on the skirt, and trumpet sleeves from the elbows. Styling her hair into an updo, the blonde beauty added a golden eyeshadow look with exaggerated lashes and nude lipstick alongside Nigaam and EFFY jewellery with Jimmy Choo heels to finish. J’adore!
Lady in Red
Mya opted for a silky femme suit with underwear as outerwear sans shirt and a pussy bow to finish. The straight-haired style was complimented with red pointed pumps, flawless makeup and gold jewellery.
Charli XCX attended donning a deep sweetheart strapless by Vivienne Westwood. The floral embroidered dress featured a wrap train and mid slit on the skirt showing off her red satin pumps. The dress featured a wrap detail on the neck with a keyhole cutout on the bodice to contrast with the high skirt slit, that showed off her red leather tied sandals, to which she styled a metallic red clutch and red lipstick with curly wavy hair.
Looking gorgeous as the lady in red, newly announced mama-to-be Beyoncé did skip the red carpet but was in attendance of course, donning a custom-made Peter Dundas gown. The fully sequined scarlet dress featured a wide neckline showing off generous cleavage with long sleeves and a slight train, that accommodated her baby bump beautifully. Long straight hair, bronze-brown smokey eyes with classic eyeliner & mascara and a nude lipstick added to the look, alongside a gemstone drop necklace down the chest, and a selection of rings. Beyoncé performed a medley of ‘Love Draught’ & ‘Sandcastles’ during the show, which you can watch here, wearing a custom-made Peter Dundas creation too. Beyoncé also won the Grammy Awards for Best Urban Contemporary Album for ‘Lemonade’ and Best Music Video for ‘Formation’ – yay congratulations Queen Bey!
Black Beauties
Tinashe was welcomed into the E! Red Carpet pre-show team, wearing a sexy cutout dress from Alexander Wang dress with Atelier Swarovski jewellery. The halterneck look sure showed off her cleavage, which she accessorized with black leather sandals and a silver metal box clutch, with a sweeping fringed upstyle, pink eyeshadow and nude lipstick.
Stepping out in a sassy look for the awards, Rihanna attended the Grammys wearing an embellished orange cropped bralette with a black full-skirted finish. The ensemble, designed by Armani Privé, featured ribbed detail with exaggerated peplum panels and styled with diamond jewellery by Chopard and David Webb, including cuff bracelets, rings and drop earrings. The singer also accessorised with a satin black & silver brooch clutch from Roger Vivier, styling her auburn tresses into soft curls with strong eye makeup and nude lips to finish.
Metallic Madness
Attending the Grammys in a colourful metallic look, Paris Jackson wore Balmain on the red carpet. The v-neck dress featured cutouts on the waist with skirt cuts too, showing off plenty of skin. The blondie added a geometric clutch from WAR by Michael Bradley and select jewellery by Kimberly McDonald to her look alongside khaki strap sandals.
Dripping in silver, Cassadee Pope attended wearing a glitter gown. The plunging halterdress featured a long train and was styled with a black clutch adorned by a silver brooch and a wispy updo.
Singer Solange looked fashionably funky in her lamé gold gown by Gucci. The fully pleated dress featured an asymmetrical neckline with an oversized panel along the one sleeve, peplum on the neckline, waist and sleeve cuff with a thigh-high skirt cut too. She styled Jimmy Choo vinyl strap heels and mismatching earrings by Jennifer Fisher Jewellery & Lady Grey Jewelry to her awards attire, finishing the look with a loose updo showing off her natural Afro curls. Solange also won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance for ‘Cranes in the Sky’ – congratulations!
DJ Michelle Pesce opted for a silver shimmering suit, and rocked it in this ensemble. The red-haired beauty attended in a black caged bralette with silver high-waisted wide-legged pants and a matching jacket worn on the shoulders. Adding a tiny clutch with sandals to her look, she rounded up the look with a sideswept fringed updo, dark lipstick and a matching dark manicure. J’adore!
Pretty in Pink
Tina Guo looked wonderful on the red carpet in her strapless sweetheart dress by Shokrala. The Asian musician attended wearing a light pink number that featured a structured bodice adorned with sparkling pavé along the boning, and a thigh-high cut on the skirt showing off her sparkly sandals too. Long curly hair, minimal silver jewellery and lawless makeup completed her Grammys look.
Presenter Keltie Knight wore a metallic pink midi look, that had quite the biker chic vibe to it. The low neckline of the Burberry creation complimented the linger length of the skirt, styled with nude barely there sandals and minimal jewellery from The Sylvie Collection. Black eyeliner and soft smokey eyes with a nude lip completed her look.
Actress & singer Jennifer Lopez stepped out in a pastel lilac gown donning Ralph & Russo. The beautiful halterneck dress featured a plunging neckline with a tulle organza on the neck, with a thigh-high leg cut and train to finish.
Gorgeous in Green
Stepping out in moss-green, British singer Adele attended the Grammys donning a custom-made gown from Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci. She added Lorraine Schwartz jewels to her look with a wispy upstyle, nude lipstick and cat eyeliner. The plunging neckline, the metallic-threaded finish, the swirling pattern, the overized bow with a pavé brooch, the thigh-high let cut, and the exaggerated shoulders. This was such a perfectly pulled-off dramatic look, styled with caged peeptoe heels and silver & green earrings with a slicked back hairstyle.
Feminine Florals
Elle King brought out her girly side to the awards donning a floral appliqué powder pink gown by Teuta Matoshi Duriqi. She styled her cutout dress with David Yurman jewellery, an Edie Parker clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti heels, wavy hair that reached down to her waist, dark smokey eyes and nude lips to finish.
Opting for a short and sweet number, Giuliana Rancic attended in this Celia Kritharioti dress, that she styled with Christian Louboutin pointed pumps, and jewellery from Le Vian and L’Dezen. I’m not a fan of the waistbelt with this look, as I feel it takes away from the feminine tulle cuffs and trims, but I do love her mini beehive hairstyle and the flawless makeup.
Singer Sklyar Grey looked beautiful donning a striped shirt dress to the Grammys. The ivory number by Mario Dice featured a cinched in waist too, and was open at the thighs, showing off her cutout heels. Her strong makeup may not be everyone’s cup of tea, as the strong kohl eyeliner, soft brown eyeshadow and nude lipstick contrasted with the Spring-forward look.
