Valentine’s Day is now 7 days away, only one week until the “most romantic day” of the year. To say I’m a Grinch of Valentine’s Day would be untrue, as I do believe that you should show your other halves and nearest & dearest that you love and care for them every day, rather than going all-out on February 14th. Jewellery is one of my favourite presents to receive, and many of my girls are on the same page. Depending on how long you are with the lucky lady, be aware of what you you’re getting gift-boxed. Earrings and charms are a failsafe, necklaces and bracelets are the next step up, watches after that, and rings should always be at the top of that chain.
Thomas Sabo are one of the best jewelers out there, creating beautiful designs since 1984. If you’re a regular to Killer Fashion, then you know I adore this brand – and for good reason. Their jewellery is of the highest quality, it doesn’t tarnish and many of their pieces can be engraved with a little message or initials. For Valentine’s Day this year the brand is even offering a 15% discount on their heart jewellery online, and you can get the personalization done in-store, which only takes a few minutes!
Other great jewellery brands to consider for Valentine’s this year include Chupi, whose Irish designs are not only beautiful but also very special and great if you’re planning on proposing to your special lady. Olivia Burton & Marc Jacobs watches are also a nifty little touch if you know a timepiece is a favourite. Homeware & Miscellaneous
It may not seem like a typical Valentine’s present, but sometimes it’s non-fashion gifts that make us smile. Whether it’s a funny slogan on some homeware, a pretty cup for our beloved cups of tea or coffee, candles and roses or delectable edibles, you won’t go wrong with these picks to inspire. Home stores Moss Cottage in Dundrum and the funky Designist on George’s Street have plenty of great gifts at affordable prices, and online Irish retailer Glitz N Pieces also offer up gorgeous picks to choose from. And then there’s the Lily O’Briens chocolates, Moët & Chandon rosé champagne and Ladurée macarons that I always recommend!
