Last night (January 25) the annual National Television Awards 2017 took place, with the pride of Britain coming out to join the party in London. Hosted by Dermot O’Leary, the awards honour the best in British television from presenters to TV shows and actors alike, and my what a show they put on. But before we discuss the winners, let’s take a look at the round up of fashion in this year’s Killer Fashion Best Dressed List at the NTAs!
Killer Fashion Choice
The National Television Awards are a classy event in London, and so for these I thought this Zuhair Murad Fall 2016 Couture dress would be the right fit. As you know, Zuhair Murad is one of my three favourite designers and this piece really speaks to me. I adore the fitted shape and the cutout sections of the bodice that would add the right amount of sexiness with the glistening beaded lace on the crepe body. I would definitely wear the cape finish with this too, as it’s weather appropriate considering January in London isn’t exactly the warmest.

The Best Dressed
Megan McKenna looked gorgeous on the red carpet donning a red mermaid gown by Sherri Hill. The look featured a crop top and high-waisted skirt, with a floral organza along the Bardot neckline that complimented the fishtail skirt. The slight cut out of the midriff was the perfect addition of subtle sexiness, to which the brunette beauty only added a gold statement watch, with gorgeous makeup and a bouffant curly updo. From head to toe, I love this look! Click here to buy Megan McKenna’s dress!
Fearne Cotton looked wonderfully classy at the NTAs, as she attended in this black gown by Rochas from Avenue 32. The dress featured a wide-scooped neckline with a fitted bodice and short sleeves, an upturned peplum detail on the waistband and full skirt to the floor. A wispy updo with cat eyeliner, nude lipstick and drop earrings to finish. Beautiful!
Black Beauties
Opting for a black look, Pixie Lott attended wearing this Temperley London dress that featured a v-cut neckline with extra off-the-shoulder straps and a waterfall trim skirt showcasing the contrasting light pink lining. The blonde beauty kept her curls intact with a half up-half down hairstyle, silver strappy heels and jewellery by De Beers. A red manicure, classic eye makeup and nude lips rounded up her awards attire.
Sally Ann Matthews looked gorgeous on the red carpet in her fitted strapless gown. The dress featured a wide v-cut neckline with tight wrap detail on the bodice and an asymmetrical panel across the skirt, that she accessorized with a black minaudière. Soft wavy hair, a red manicure and subtle makeup completed the look.
Showing off subtle skin in places, Katie Piper attended the awards donning Victoria Beckham. The scooped neckline midi dress featured cutouts along the chest with a fitted skirt that gave the illusion of an elongated torso. Minimal jewels with a clutch by Ethan K and ankle strap sandals from River Island accessorized the look, completed with dark eye makeup, nude lipstick and a high ponytail.
Actress Lacey Turner was a gorgeous sight in her velvet midi dress with its straight neckline and silk peplum trim skirt detail, which she styled with a trio of layered necklace and a quirky mini handbag. Peeptoe sandals and red lipstick with a relaxed hairstyle completed her look, that really complimented the velvet LBD. Lacey Turner also won the Nation Television Award for Serial Drama Performance.
Presenter Emma Willis opted for this lovely Bardot-sleeved midi dress. I rather love the zig zag trim of the neckline and the scalloped trumpet skirt finish, that she styled with peeptoe sandals, a patterned black & white box clutch. A combed back hairstyle, black eyeliner and nude lipstick rounded up her look.
Tess Daly was easily one of the best dressed ladies at the awards, as she stepped out in London donning this strapless black & white top and pants look by Roland Mouret. The rounded neckline of the top contrasted with the asymmetrical peplum detail of the cigarette trousers, which she wore with Jimmy Choo sandals and a gold double layered choker necklace. Her flawless, wavy and voluminous hairstyle was perfect for this look, that she styled with kohl-rimmed eyes & big lashes and nude lipgloss to finish. Tess Daly also won the Nation Television Award for Talent Show for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. Click here to buy Tess Daly’s shoes!

Giving us a high street look, Sarah-Jane Crawford attended the NTAs donning a strapless look from Coast. Jorgie Porter looked beautiful in this sleeveless number by Nadine Merabi, which featured a halterneck and open back. The sequin dress featured swirl designs with mesh and a risqué deep cut around the sides, with a slight train on the skirt too. The bespoke design was perfectly teamed with a messy updo and bangs, a black manicure, dark eye makeup and nude lips.
Donning a pretty little beaded dress, Tilly Keeper looked classy in this dress by Needle & Thread. The Victorian style dress featured all-over floral beading & embellishments with sheer sleeves and a halterneck finish, cinched in by a silk waistband and a tulle overlay skirt. The slightly open back added another dimension to the look, to which she styled an embellished silver clutch and heels. A curled updo, subtle makeup and a soft pink lipstick completed the look. Wearing an ornate lace look was Lilah Parsons, whose awards attire was rather royal-esque. Reasons why I love this look: it’s designed by Zuhair Murad! The scooped neckline, the long sleeves, the peekaboo mesh design with the lace and lattice. She added a contrasting black choker neckpiece with a black & gold clutch and jewellery by Gemporia, with soft wavy hair and dark eye makeup. J’adore!
Michelle Keegan was also one of the best dressed at the awards, donning this beautiful crispy white dress by Galia Lahav. The strapless look featured a sculpted stick-out bodice with a ribbon tie on the waist and a train on the skirt, which really complimented the brunette’s slim body. I adore the subtle accessories; the silver box clutch, minimal jewellery and relaxed hairstyle with a soft pink lipstick to finish. Just beautiful!
Pretty in Pink
Louise Minchin‘s look may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I really like her fun direction. The fuchsia pink, the velvet texture, the knee-length cut, the off-the-shoulder neckline. The BBC presenter added a cream envelope clutch to her look, with a multi circle drop necklace and gold heels, and a curled hairstyle to complete.
Opting for a short suit, Scarlett Moffatt attended in a hot pink look. The longline blazer was teamed with high-waisted long shorts and a black top, to which she added pointed nude patent heels and a top knot hairstyle. I rather like this relaxed but dressy look, though I wish there was a bit more oomph to the look. Dark smokey eyes and nude lips completed her look.
Saara Aalto definitely made an entrance wearing this pink creation, which featured a colourful & sheer body floral organza design on the bodice with a high-waisted pink tulle full skirt. Her hair was sideswept into mermaid waves with her pink dipdyed the whole look. Silver jewellery, metallic & black eye makeup and soft pink lipstick completed her awards attire.

Holly Willoughby looked absolutely beautiful in her powder pink dress by Samuel Dougal. The bespoke design featured a narrow v-cut on the bodice showcasing subtle cleavage with fitted panels on the bodice and elbows with a column fit skirt and slight train too. Adding a stunning antique diamond encrusted orchid brooch by The Antique Jewellery Company, the blonde beauty added earrings by Stephen Webster and heels from the Rochelle Humes Collection. I adore her retro pinned hairstyle, the smokey eyes and soft pink lipstick that she rounded up with. Holly Willoughby also won the Nation Television Award for Live Magazine Show for ‘This Morning’.
The Beautiful Blues
Rochelle Humes was looking all sorts of beautiful on the red carpet alongside her husband, Marvin Humes. The pregnant beauty wore a strapless navy custom-made gown by Philip Armstrong, which featured silver embellishment along the upper trim of the cape. The leg slit showcased her Jimmy Choo sandals and she added gorgeous jewellery by one of my personal favourite designers, CARAT* London. An updo with bangs and classic eyeliner, mascara and nude pink lipgloss rounded up her beautiful mama-to-be look. Click here to buy Rochelle Humes‘ earrings!
It’s always fun when a designer wears her own designs, and Ola Jordan did exactly that at the NTAs wearing a bespoke design from Ola Couture. The blonde beauty attended wearing this royal blue mermaid gown, which featured a sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice with an exaggerated fishtail skirt that was also open at the back with cross straps to tie the look together. She styled the look with a silver clutch and jewels an an updo too.
Helen George looked gorgeous wearing Ong Oaj Pairam on the red carpet. The strapless gown featured a tiered ruffled body all over with an ombré of grey into light blue and fading into a midnight blue to the skirt’s trim. Styled with a navy silk envelope clutch, subtle silver jewellery and dark eye makeup, this was one fashionable look at the awards.
Metallic Madness
Gillian Taylforth wore gold on the red carpet, as she wore this sequin and embroidered look to the NTAs. The dress was very low on her bust, which is rather questionable, but the contrasting designs work nicely, with the sheer skirting. Sparkling silver bracelets, an updo and minimal makeup rounded up her awards attire.
Going for gold, Carol Vorderman attended in a gold glitter dress that featured long sleeves and a wide-v neckline. The geometric design was accented by mesh lines and a trumpet skirt, that she wore with peeptoe heels and a yellow gold embellished handbag. Dark eyes, a wispy hairstyle and statement earrings completed her look.
Kym Marsh looked beautiful attending the awards, as she walked the red carpet in this sleeveless dress. Susanna Reid attended in a black & white number that featured all-over glitter and an abstract geometric print. The sleeveless bodycon was styled with a black clutch, red lipstick, silver jewellery and a relaxed curly hairstyle. Peeptoe platforms and a red mani-pedi rounded up her look.
I really like the Spring-forward look Karren Brady opted for, donning a silk gown with floral and bird prints. The v-cut look featured blue cuff and skirt trims and was styled with a beautiful ornate & embellished box clutch, platform peeptoe sandals and silver jewellery.
