Pink October #5

Each day this week I will post a #PinkOctober2016 fashion, beauty & accessories piece that encourages us to add some pink into our life. Join in on social media and help out where possible!

Pink October Breast Cancer Awareness

Lingerie for Linda McCartney Centre & Breast Cancer Now

It comes as no surprise that designer Stella McCartney takes part in breast cancer awareness and is charitable with her designs. This Lace Bra (€65) & Lace Briefs (€35) set is a gorgeous addition to any woman’s wardrobe, with its delicate lace body, the triple stripe bands and dusty pink hue. A percentage of each bra and briefs sold will be donated to the Linda McCartney Centre in the UK, to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the US and to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in Australia to help support their work in providing the most advanced treatments and technologies for patients with breast cancer – now that’s donating!

At Marks & Spencer, they’re continuing to support Breast Cancer Now with the gorgeous Rosie for Autograph Silk Rose Lace Padded Balcony Bra (€35) that’s available in a selection of colours; and the Heart Charm Bracelet (€10) that donate 10% of each sold to the charity.

Boohoo have a range of pink clothes that are fresh on their store, and I’ve picked just a few lovely pieces for today’s pink post. They do have a UK initiative and work with Teenage Cancer Trust, and though they may not donate to a (breast) cancer society or organization in Ireland yet, wearing pink and showing your awareness for breast cancer is just as powerful. And of course you can donate your old or unworn clothes, shoes & accessories to various charity stores, including Irish Cancer Society who have 20 stores nationwide.

Donating is very easy, just text PINK to 50300 to donate €4 to the Irish Cancer Society (some network charges may apply additionally).
