Beauty house Lancôme are celebrating a brand new beauty product, as they launch the #BanTheBoring Juicy Shaker this March. On Monday afternoon (February 22nd), I was invited to attend an exclusive late breakfast event by Lancôme to unveil their latest lip product, held in the stunning Umit Kutluk Design Showroom & Atelier, Merrion Square. It was a fabulous midday event with tea, coffee, mocktails, fresh fruit and pastries, and renowned Lancôme makeup artist Marc Sinclair was also in attendance to go through the product, as well as answer any questions we had regarding makeup!
Now, to celebrate both Juicy Tubes’ sweet sixteenth and the classic Shaker lipstick from 1946, one of the bijou lipsticks as imagined by the brand’s founder Armand Petitjean, in the early years – the Juicy Shaker is born echoing these emblematic products. Many of us will remember that when Lancôme first released their Juicy Tubes in 2000, it was a makeup revolution; we all wanted those little tubes of colourful lip gloss; and so today it’s a new step in creating an iconic product. The Juicy Shaker is a three-in-one kind of lip product, as it combines the love of a classic lip gloss with the buildable pigmentation of a stain or lipstick, whilst keeping your lips moisturized with its rich & silky oils. It boasts colour, shine, sensoriality and comfort all in one little product, that truly shakes like a cocktail shaker should. We were also shown a video featuring Lisa Eldridge, Lancôme’s Make-up Creative Director, on how to make the best of our Juicy Shaker, which you can watch below my photos!
As makeup artist and true role model Marc Sinclair explained, the Juicy Shaker embodies what modern lip glosses should; a non-sticky biphasic formula! The product is easy to use with its unique cushion applicator that means we shake, shake, shake and dab, dab, dab to our heart’s content to get the desired finish. So, the more you shake the stronger the colour gets, and for an extra colour pop with a glossy finish, Marc recommends to apply on top of your favourite (or matching) lipstick. Another amazing thing about these Juicy Shakers are their fragrances, they’re so very fruity! Along with its combination of peach kernel, sweet almond, cranberry & musk rose oils, each lip gloss has its own scent from classic berries, to melon, citrus & exotic fruits to vanilla and even meringue! And for each of these fragrances, there’s a unique shade to choose from as the Juicy Shaker collection includes 14 different shades with one limited edition shade, 400 Mint To Be that is a colourless gloss to add sheen to your lips with a minty fresh scent. Below you’ll see Lancôme ambassadresses Lupita Nyong’o & her shade Berry in Love, and Lily Collins & her shade Mangoes Wild!
Lancôme Juicy Shaker will be available exclusively at Brown Thomas stores from March 2nd, and nationwide at Lancôme counters from March 16th, in 14 shades at €22
Thank you to Róisín Tierney-Crowe of L’Oréal Paris for the invite and brilliant organisation, to Lancôme Ireland for the generous gifts, and to Marc Sinclair for all of his makeup advice!
