Best Dressed at Country Music Awards 2015

On Wednesday evening (November 4th), the 49th annual Country Music Awards took place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Celebrating all things country music, hosts Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood gave a great show that was full of talented artists performing, deserved award-winners and even a couple of jokes. The red carpet pre-show was also pretty beautiful, though only one lovely lady truly blew me away, this was one very well dressed group of ladies & gents. So let’s see whose made the Killer Fashion Best Dressed List this year.

The Best Dressed

Jana Kramer was my absolute favourite on this CMAs red carpet. Her maternity dress was stunning, in this Galia Lahav Couture dress. I adore the deep royal blue hues of this mermaid gown, which features a sequin-embellished lace overlay and an exaggerated fishtail skirt & train, as well as a v-cut neckline. Styling the look with Stuart Weitzman heels, a Swarovski clutch and jewels by Sutra, Le Vian and Brumani, the singer looked every bit a star. Dark smokey eyes and curled hair rounded up this outfit perfectly. Jana’s maternity glow and smile almost outrank the whole look, as she glided down the red carpet with her husband. Adorable and oh so beautiful!

Beautiful in Blush

Model Hannah Davis looked lovely in her blush dress, which featured wide v-cut neckline and a keyhole cut out on the bodice, giving her red carpet presence sassy sexiness. The skirt also featured a leg split showing off her strappy ankle heels. Statement earrings, flawless makeup with a subtle smokey eye & nude lip and curled hair rounded off the model’s gorgeous look.

Wearing a feathery little number, Katie Armiger walked the red carpet in this embellished midi dress from Terani Couture. The cream look featured a sheer neckline with embellished shoulders, and an intricately embellished body with sprouting feathers around the bottom of the skirt. A dark red lipstick with a matching mani-pedi, cross strap glitzy sandals and a neatly curled hairstyle completed her look for the evening. Click to see where to buy Katie Armiger’s CMAs dress!

Kelsea Bellerini sure made an entrance to the CMAs, wearing a seleeveless Paolo Sebastian gown, which features a heavily embellished bodice and a tulle-skirt finish that she styled with a Treesje clutch and mermaid waves. Kelsea also brought 17-year-old Allie Allen with her to the awards (photo below), a friend of hers who is battling cancer. Both girls looked absolutely beautiful.

Also looking gorgeous was Kayla Adams, whose champagne coloured full-length bandage dress was simplistically beautiful. There was such an aura and glow about the young country singer that evening, which added to her flawless makeup and curled hairstyle. Along with her minimal jewels, this is one gorgeous gal!

Attending with her band mates, Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town looked lovely in this sheer lace dress, adorned with floral embroidery and criss crossing lines with a nude mini dress underneath. The country star wore long drop earrings and gold cross-strap sandals with the look, rounding it up with a metallic clutch and smokey eye makeup. Little Big Town also won two CMA awards for Vocal Group of the Year and Single of the Year for ‘Girl Crush’.

Miss America 2016 Betty Cantrell also attended the CMAs, looking very winter-forward in her cream embellished gown by Sherri Hill. The dress featured a sheer overlay with fully embellished beads & sequins, with a nude sweetheart under-dress. The pageant queen wore chandelier drop earrings and of course her Miss America crown with the look, dark eye makeup & exaggerated lashes and beautiful sideswept curled hair.

Metallic Madness

Attending the CMAs in full metal glamour, Lauren Alaina wore this stunning wide v-cut dress from Irish design house Theia. This geometric beaded gown featured double spaghetti straps with delicately hand-embroidered glass beads & sequins in a linear geometric pattern that was every bit amazing. A black box clutch and stacked bangles with a subtle eyeliner & dewy glow makeup finish were the perfect ways to compliment this gown. Click here to buy Lauren Alaina’s CMAs dress!

Shawna Thompson attended in a stunning silver maternity gown, which fetaured a diamond-cross pattern throughout in a darker hue of silver atop the classic silver body. The wide v-cut neckline and long sleeves were the perfect details for this mama-to-be.

Singer Jewel Kilcher wore a bedazzling mini dress by Lorena Sarbu. She teamed her look with sandals by Jimmy Choo, a clutch from Swarovski and Pasquale Bruni jewels, which was a truly sparkling finish to her look.

Cassadee Pope also dazzled in this sheer gold rose-embroidered one-sleeved dress, which featured a trumpet hem. She styled the illusion tulle dress with a gold floral cuff bracelet, and an upstyle.

Black Beauties

Sisters, actresses and country singers Maisy & Lennon Stella attended the CMAs together, coordinating their LBDs for the event. Younger sister Maisy wore a black satin mini that featured a sequin-embellished panel on the front by Milly, which she wore with net tights and black patent ankle boots that was in every way age-appropriate. Her older sister Lennon opted for a Rachel Zoe Collection black mini, which featured long sleeves and a slash cut out above the chest, with contrasting silver glitter sleeve trims and a statement collar. Triple strap sandals, exaggerated lashes and a dark red lipstick, Lennon’s look was a favourite of mine.

Miranda Lambert was of course in attendance to the CMAs, rocking a pastel pink hue in her signature blonde hair, which added to the rock chick vibe of her black Versace column gown. The dress featured an asymmetrical strap across the décolletage, as well as a satin waistband and a sheer black panel down one side of the dress. She held a Tyler Alexandra clutch and styled the look with jewellery by H. Stern and heels by JF London. Miranda also performed ‘Bathroom Sink’ during the show, which you can watch here. Miranda Lambert also won the CMA award for Female Vocalist of the Year.

Nashville star Aubrey Peeples also attended in black, donning this Nicole Miller dress to the awards. The sequin embroidered full-length gown featured a cut out around the back of the dress along with a slit on the skirt. Smokey eye makeup, an around-the-back sideswept hairstyle and silver jewellery completed her awards attire.

Giving us some red carpet glamour, singer Danielle Bradbery attended in an Oglia-Loro Couture gown. The sleeveless number features an asymmetrical floral embroidered panel on the skirt & trim with a sheer polka dot section in between, finishing in a tail that was all sorts of beautiful. Triangle drop earrings by Lana Jewelry, soft smokey eyes with a barely-there makeup finish & nude lips were the right finishing touches for the young singer’s look.

Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry brought some sexiness to the red carpet in this one-sleeved black number by Anthony Vaccarello, which featured a high cut on the skirt and exposing grommets along the body that she wore with sky-high Christian Louboutin peeptoe platforms. A straight hairstyle and barely-there makeup completed her look.

A Splash of Colour

Wearing quite a different style of dress to her fellow females, Hilary Scott of Lady Antebellum looked lovely in this floral-printed fitted trumpet skirt midi dress. She styled the look with an array of sparkling jewels by Sylvie & Co., Royal Jewelry, Phillip Gavriel and Daniel Espinosa, held a Rodo clutch and wore her hair in pinned-back side curls.

Kellie Pickler attended the awards, in a midnight blue-meets-plum Rubin Singer gown. She styled the look with Open Hearts by Jane Seymour jewellery, exaggerated lashes & nude lips, and tucked her straight hairstyle behind ears. The drama of this skirt is what really works for me, and overall she looked great.

Wearing a v-cut purple gown, Hayley Orantia attended in this floral jacquard violet sleeveless look, that she styled with minimal jewellery and wore with a half-up half-down hairstyle.

Attending in a sweet lilac pink hue, Jennifer Nettles looked gorgeous in this mermaid gown. The bodice featured floral embroidery with Swarovski crystal embellishments, as well as a sheer panel on the front and back, and a fishtail skirt finish. The subtle jewels by Jorge Adeler and Le Vian, along with the Swarovski pavé clutch and the hair & makeup were the perfect finishing touches.

Hosting the awards alongside Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood hit the red carpet in this coral peplum gown Gauri+Nainika. The plunging mermaid dress was styled with Anne Sisteron and rings by Graziela Gems & Pasquale Bruni. Her flawless hair & makeup complimented her pre-show dress perfectly too.

Lindsey Stirling also attended the CMAs, donning a light coral long sleeved dress, which was embellished with glistening beaded stripes throughout as well as along the collar and on the train too. The talented violinist wore her hair in upstyle, styling the look with a glittered clutch and minimal jewels.
