Thomas Sabo Celebrates 10 Years of the Charm Club

Yesterday evening (October 6th) I attended an exclusive celebration with Thomas Sabo, as it was the 10th anniversary of their Charm Club Collection. Held in the beautiful Dylan Hotel, off Baggot Street, this was a wonderful evening of Afternoon Tea with a select few bloggers and press members, which I was honoured to be invited to and attend. The Charm Club Collection first started back in 2005, after company founder Thomas Sabo presented a very special collection that made its debut with the iconic charm bracelet and its first 250 charms. Boasting ten years of Love, Luck, Fashion & Passion, the German brand has dived into jewellery designs of all beautiful sorts, watches and of course even more charms. Marking its 10th year in the charm bracelets business, there are now more than 600 charm motifs that are loved by many. Therefore, to truly celebrate the Charm Club’s grand anniversary, Thomas Sabo reveal their diamond edition. The top five Thomas Sabo charms include the clover leaf, the heart, angel wings, the snowflake and the iconic Eiffel Tower. For their special anniversary collection, 12 brand new charms have been added that reinterpret symbols of love & friendship, and all beautiful things in life. These include the balloon clover leaf, the wise owl, they to your heart, Fatima’s Hand, the teddy bear, the lotus flower and the jade green gem; all of which are crafted from 925 Sterling Silver and adorned with five white diamonds. There’s even a special anniversary charm bracelet, with a pendant that reads ’10 YEARS CHARM CLUB’ and a diamond embellishment. The Afternoon Tea held by the Dylan Hotel was just lovely. There were mini sandwiches and open breads, fresh scones with cream & jam, and desserts, as well as pots of hot water and a fabulous choice of Java Republic teas. I opted to try out the open crabmeat sandwich, the ham & relish sandwich, as well as the peanut butter parfait, carrot cake and cheesecake which were all delicious! Glasses of Prosecco, Earl Grey tea and then a Yunnan green tea to cleanse, this was an absolutely delightful evening – definitely well spent. The room itself was a beautiful shade of green hues with comfortable cream armchairs and books on the walls, in an elegant drawing-room meets dining-room manner.
