Pink October #1

For the month of October, Killer Fashion will be turning pink for breast cancer awareness.

This is a global awareness campaign to encourage women to get breast checks, to encourage fundraising & awareness events, to learn more about breast cancer and to help those who have been diagnosed with this cancer in any way possible. Here in Ireland, the Irish Cancer Society are launching another year of Pink October awareness and you can help too! Donating is very easy, just text PINK to 50300 to donate €4 to the Irish Cancer Society (some network charges may apply additionally). As you may know, this particular cancer is one I’m angry at for two reasons, and I’m very passionate about helping and furthering cure developments so less people lose their mother and grandmother too soon.

Each day for the month of October I will post a PINK #POTD that encourages us to add some pink into our life. Join in on social media and help out where possible!

Estée Lauder has been one of my favourite brands over the years, because like Chanel & Dior it will always remind me of my Mam. The beauty brand have launched another beautiful collection in support of breast cancer awareness, and I am absolutely loving these pieces. Within the collection features a lipstick collection & travel cosmetics bag, a firming/sculpting cream with a pink leather charm bracelet, a Modern Muse eau de parfum keychain and a collectible pink ribbon pin. Available from €13.60/£10, with proceeds of the retail price donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
