House of Fraser #HOF AW15 Press Event

Yesterday afternoon (August 19th) I headed to the House of Fraser #HOF event for their new Autumn/Winter 2015 collection launch. It was held on the first floor in The Dean Hotel, Harcourt Street and was quite a grand affair. The room was lined with gorgeous up and coming pieces from House of Fraser’s best & biggest lablels, including Biba, Linea, Pied a Terre, Label Lab, Dickins & Jones, as well as homeware pieces. It was a really relaxed atmosphere, with introductory greetings from both Natalia & Mark of House of Fraser Dundrum & Belfast respectively, and attendees were even treated to baked treats courtesy of Cocoa Moiselle, which included delicious cake pops, macarons, mini cupcakes and square biscuits with #HOF AW15 icing designs atop, and glasses of Prosecco. But it was the fashion that was the main spectacle of the show, boasting plenty of trends for the new season including the return of the big coats in pastel and neutral shades, smart blouses & shell tops in an array of patterns, embellished statement dresses and jackets, faux fur, navy & blue hues, ankle boots and handbags of all sorts. I have definitely found a selection of pieces I truly want for my own, namely the blue coat with faux fur lining from Biba, (which is part of an exclusive to HOF Dundrum collection), the pastel pink coat from Dickins & Jones, all the handbags and that adorabubble pineapple coffee table candle. In the homeware section, there are plenty of photo frames I’d love to get my hands on (for all the fab photos from past events with my besties!), as well as the hammered rose gold bowls that are ever so cute and the aforementioned pineapple candle. Such a fabulous selection that we have in store for us!

I attended with one of my besties Kassi of Just Kassi and got to catch up with blogger friends Niamh O’Donoghue from Cultured Cuppa, Jessika Banaghan from Chaos Wearing Lipgloss, Leanne Woodfull from Thunder & Threads, Holly White of Holly.ie and Emma O’Farrell of Blogger Conference. We had the chats & giggles about all things fashion and took many a selfie! For the event I wore my favourite Zara printed blouse, acid jeans and nude heels, (full outfit details coming soon!). Attendees also received a goodie bag with the House of Fraser AW15 catalogue and a generous gift voucher, which I can’t wait to use!
