Yesterday afternoon I was invited to attend the Thomas Sabo press event for their new Autumn/Winter 2015 collection launch. It was held in The Marker Hotel at Grand Canal, in the back room complete with a presentation and the campaign’s movie feature. The #MyLoveBridge campaign, which features top models Georgia May Jagger & Marlon Teixeira, is all the love of a couple and everlasting memories, inspired by love bridges all around the world, on which couples lock locks and throw away the keys, notably famous in Paris but also here in Dublin on the Ha’penny Bridge. The campaign movie plays the young couple to the soundtrack Grammy-winning of John Legend’s “All Of Me”, a perfect fit for collection and the feature.
I attended with my lovey dovey bestie bloggers Lorna Duffy of Fashion Boss & Mei Ling of Darling Buds of Mei and my darling intern & friend blogger Aisling Regan of Ace Adores (formerly Ace Couture), and caught up with my other friends Lisa Mc of Lisa Lists & Goss.ie and Rebecca O’Byrne of Haute So Fabulous. For the event I opted for my favourite work trousers from Soho Market, a theme-appropriate top and my nude pumps, (full outfit details coming soon!).
But of course the main spectacle of this AW15 press day was all about the jewellery. The collection itself features many beautiful pieces, the Love Bridge collection features over 50 bracelets with most pieces engraveable. This personalization is also included in each purchase, making the pieces extra special for yourself or your loved one. The engraving is used with a specific machine especially designed for Thomas Sabo jewellery, that can create up to 18 letters/symbols in under two minutes – amazing! The presentation also introduced us to new collections including Glam & Soul, which features rose gold & sterling silver pieces, on-trend layering, pearls, midi rings and ear-jackets, the Thomas Sabo Signature Line that is full of the brand’s sparkle statements and Unity bracelets, which are men- and womenswear pieces made of leather by Lamborghini and magnetic locking mechanisms. Furthermore, Thomas Sabo presented their brand new fragrance, Eau de Karma, which is set to release in the run-up to Christmas later this year and corresponds to their Karma Beads collection, which is also part of their Charm Club selection, and finally their new watch collection, which boasts that “grey is the new black” is to become quite the trend.
The displays of all of their brand new jewellery were out for attendees to gawk at, and my oh my am I in love. Y’all know how much Killer Fashion adores all things sparkly, and this press event just confirmed it all over again! At the end of the day I was gifted with a fabulous goodie bag that featured the a pink-beaded sterling silver Love Bridge bracelet, which I engraved with “Killer Fashion”! Cupcakes and a sweets counter, this really was the most perfect lunchtime event! Keep an eye on the blog as tomorrow I attend another Thomas Sabo event, so Friday we’ll have even more sparkle!
