Flormar Event with Leonard Daly

Killer Fashion Nirina Flormar Residence Club

Yesterday evening I attended the Flormar preview event, held in the stunning and über exclusive Residence Members Club on St. Stephen’s Green. Flormar was established in Milan in 1970, starting out as a nail polish brand but has since ventured into the manyother areas of makeup. From face bases like foundations, BB and CC creams to eyeshadows, palettes, liner and brows, lipsticks and glosses to their vast variety of almost 1,000 nail polishes, Flormar is one makeup brand to keep an eye out for! What’s more, this is professional Italian makeup that’s every bit affordable, as the products range from €2.95 to €12.95.

Paul Mooney of The Cosmetic Outlet was along to the event to introduce the Flormar brand, revealing that model Carla Jackson is the Irish Brand Ambassador and also that their products are available to buy online at his outlet as well as selected pharmacies nationwide. I attended with my besties Filomena of Enhance What’s Yours, Mei Ling of Darling Buds of Mei and Kassi of Just Kassiand met up with lovely bloggers Chloe Moloney of Nurse Fancy Pants, AJ of AJ Makeup, Robyn Morton of Robyn Rants & Raves, Marina Bergman of Beautiful Me Plus You and the ever-wonderful Emma O’Farrell of the Irish Bloggers ConferenceFor the occasion I wore my printed pants, one of new birthday presents and my favourite white heels from ALDO, (full outfit details coming soon!), with a pop of red lipstick of course.

The event itself had a busy atmosphere, as we were in the downstairs lounge of the prestigious Members Club in the heart of the city. Endless glasses of sparkling rosé, delicious canapés and desserts were on hand throughout the evening, my favourites being the salmon & caviar on potato fondant and the coconut & lime macarons. The comfortable, plush seating, glass tables and vases of red roses (a Killer Fashion favourite), added to the exclusivity of this venue. Makeup artist Leonard Daly was also present to give us a makeup demonstration on his model, Nathalie. His advice was to use your fingers to apply foundation, BB and CC creams, as foundation brushes and the likes are “a waste of time!” Interesting advice here, he explained that in the real fashion world, they’re not used behind the scenes. At the end of the evening, we were gifted with a lovely selection of Flormar goodie bags, in which I received the Illuminating Primer Make-up Base, Revolution Perfect Lipstick in #10 Provocative Orange, Long Wearing Lipgloss in #409 Backstage, Jelly Look Nail Enamel in #10 Turquoise Green and the biggest Bronzing Powder I’ve seen! I really look forward to using these products, so expect a review post in the next while.

Thank you to Nathalie of Rachel Dalton Communications the invite, to Paul of The Cosmetic Outlet & Leonard Daly, and to all of the lovely staff at Residence Members Club!
