#BOUNDLESS Picture This! X Boundless Brooklyn Event

Killer Fashion Nirina #BOUNDLESS Picture ThisYesterday evening I attended the #BOUNDLESS ‘Transatlantic Fun & Games’ event by Picture This, which was held in Fashion Fair on Drury Street. I was very happy & excited to attend, but also to support one of my best friends, Timi Ogunyemi who worked so hard with his Picture This team for this event. The #BOUNDLESS art exhibit launch for their collaboration with Boundless Brooklyn brought artwork from New York to Dublin for a one of a kind exhibition, in a clash of cultures both artistically and geographically. 15 of New York’s top artists displayed their work alongside 15 of Ireland’s top artists in a mix of art styles, as each of the talents painted their individual water tower, an iconic Brooklyn landmark, that were beautifully designed by the talented duo at Boundless Brooklyn. I attended with my beloved sister-next-door Ellen, and wore my newest Buffalo heels out, which I received plenty a compliment for! (Full outfit details coming soon!)

The American styles featured epic graffiti and artwork, and the Irish styles featured similar ideas as well as those closer to home (the water charges & Uisce were shared ideas between some artists). The event featured not one, not two, but three different DJ sets, one rapper who got the crowd jamming, colourful lights (hence the pink/blue hued photos – sorry I forgot to use my flash ha!) and graffiti on the walls of Fashion Fair. As one of the first few who attended, I was gifted with ‘Goblin Market: Irish New Contemporary Art’, Ireland’s biggest graffiti book that features so much artwork from across our Emerald Isle. I love this, I’m a big fan of graffiti and am always up for supporting Irish artists, whatever their medium.

“Create, collaborate and celebrate.” – Timi Ogunyemi, at the Irish Blogger Conference 2015. Staying true to your words Timi!

Balla Bán Art Gallery was the chief sponsor, whose gallery is located within the Westbury Shopping Centre between Grafton St & Clarendon St, and I had the pleasure of meeting Frank O’Dea, the founder behind the gallery, and had the chats about art & Ireland’s rising appreciation of our artists. Beers and tunes, I mingled and caught up with many friends & bloggers including Kassi of Just Kassi, Lorna Duffy of Fashion Boss, Kelly Donegan, AJ of AJ Makeup, Darragh Doyle, Sarah & Ciara of Revolve PR, Fiona Murphy of Cool Events & Irish Bloggers Association and Keith & Jules Mahon of The Taste.

As the poster states, the 30 illustrated water towers were designed by:
