Best Dressed at Cannes Film Festival 2015 – Week Two

Cannes Film Festival 2015

Last Monday we saw who made the Killer Fashion Best Dressed list from Week One at Cannes Film Festival 2015. Actresses Fan Bingbing, Li Bingbing, Emma Stone, Lupita Nyong’o and singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini were amongst those who blew me away, and I’m ever so excited to reveal who has made it onto this week’s list from the festival, for Week Two! Prepare yourself for all of the beauty that graced the red carpet in Cannes, as well as soirées around the coast.

Eva Longoria

On May 18th, one of my favourite actresses stepped out on the red carpet in a beautiful gown to the movie premiere of Inside Out. Eva Longoria stunned in this silver & taupe creation by Gabriela Cadena, which featured sheer sleeves and panels along the sides of the dress, back and skirt that were delicately embellished with sequins, beads and mirror pieces. The body of the dress created an hourglass shape that was perfect on the Latina beauty, to which she added Lorraine Schwartz jewellery to, along with flawless smokey eyes by L’Oréal Paris and a slick straight hairstyle.

Following the red carpet look, Eva looked wondrous in Georges Hobeika Couture attending the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc on May 21st in Cap d’Antibes. I absolutely adore this ice blue hue against Eva’s sallow complexion, but more so I love the style of this dress. It features a lace bodice with a plunging neckline and capped sleeves, and then an embroidered overlay skirt with a leather waistbelt & bow to finish. Just gorgeous! A flower motif bracelet & earrings to match, dark eye makeup and a wispy updo completed the look to perfection.

Eva also attended the Symphony in Blue event hosted by Johnnie Walker Blue Label, on May 22nd in Monaco. For the event she wore an all white look, donning this cape trend midi dress ensemble, which featured a silk-fringed bat winged cape. The fitted LWD was worn with white pointed pumps, minimal jewels, a straight hairstyle and dark smokey eyes.

Victoria Silvstedt

On May 18th model Victoria Silvstedt attended the movie premiere of Inside Out donning a champagne dress with an embellished overlay and a side split on the skirt. A cinched in waist and capped sleeves also featured on the dress. Her voluminous blonde hair hid away her beautiful earrings, though her bejewelled clutch and bracelet were definitely on show. Gold peeptoe heels, smokey eyes and pink lipgloss completed her red carpet look.

Later that evening Victoria attended The Heart Fund party in this beautiful Christopher Guillarme dress. It featured a nude coloured sweetheart strapless mini with a long sleeved sheer overlay covered in light-reflecting sequins that finished with a fishtail skirt. She looked stunning, adding a pink strap watch and a bejewelled clutch to her look, and finishing with voluminous wavy hair.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Looking absolutely fabulous and ever so elegant, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the Jazabaa photo call on May 19th in Oscar de la Renta. The strapless Bordeaux coloured gown featured a tiered skirt that was quite the showstopper, matching her lipstick colour to the dress and opting for glamorous waves to finish.

On May 20th, the actress continued the glamorously dramatic look wearing a Ralph & Russo gown to the movie premiere of Youth. The architectural tiered design was an altered version to that from the runway, but still featured the black three-leaf clover pattern & appliqué on the body and the contrasting waistband. Aishwarya added silver jewels to her look, along with taupe peeptoe platforms, metallic eyeshadow and a nude lip with glamorous wavy hair. Gorgeous!

Bringing her style back to her usual, on May 21st Aishwarya attended the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala in a lilac & nude strapless gown by Elie Saab Couture. The floral appliqué is stunning and I adore the pastel coloured clutch she added to her look, along with a silver diamond necklace, and subtle lilac eyeshadow too.

Chanel Iman

On May 20th Chanel Iman attended the movie premiere of Youth donning a red gown by Donna Karan Atelier. Her strapless fitted gown featured a trailing train from the back of the waist, which added to the Cannes-appropriate dress. Silver & green pavé earrings, cocktail rings and flawless makeup made up for the oh-so-obvious hair sprayed hairstyle.

Now, Chanel is one of my favourite models, and on May 21st she attended the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala in not only one of my favourite designers but also one of my most favourite designs by said designer. The wide plunging Zuhair Murad gown featured sheer sleeves and an overlay with white flower appliqué all over and a nude tulle skirt to finish. I love that Chanel also opted for a chic updo, minimal jewellery and nude lipstick because it allowed her dress to the talking. This is a truly magical moment for both the model & designer, and I am just in awe.

Araya A. Hargate

Giving us full on drama, on May 19th actress Araya A. Hargate made me swoon in her gown to the movie premiere of Sicario. Wearing an Ashi Studio Couture gown, which featured delicate embroidery on the bodice, sleeves and half of the skirt with the other half of fluffy feathers, the Thai beauty just gave it everything and worked it beautifully. I love the red lips & nails combo with the dark eye makeup and exaggerated lashes and the slicked down and back hairstyle, showing off her pavé drop earrings. Just wow.

Donning another spectacle of a gown on May 20th, Araya chose this Giambattista Valli Couture look to the premiere of Youth. The ruffled & tiered waterfall dress featured a blossoming branches print in hues of green, yellow & white with floral appliqué along the neckline & waist and a yellow waistband. Multigem chandelier drop earrings, a soft pink lip and a braided updo were the perfect finishing touches for this red carpet look.

Mélanie Laurent

Mélanie Laurent also attended the premiere, donning a glitzy gold number and looking very beautiful doing so. The dress featured all over sequins & beads on a sheer underlay with a gold waistbelt by Zuhair Murad Couture that shone in the French sun, adding more glitz & glamour with jewellery by Chaumet. I really love this look, and I love how naturally beautiful her hair & makeup looked too.

The Rest of the Best

On May 18th Cansu Dere joined fellow celebrities at the Inside Out movie premiere, donning a stunning white jumpsuit that featured an embellished bodice with a narrow cut out, a bow waistband and a sweeping cape, continuing that cape trend. Metallic barely there sandals, a chic updo and red lipstick completed the Turkish actress’ look.

Andie MacDowell was also attending the premiere wearing an orange embellished gown by Elie Saab. I’m not a fan of orange on a normal basis, but this is breathtakingly beautiful. The hue really compliments the actress’ brunette curls, and the dress’ v-cut neckline and sheer panels added the right amount of sexiness to her look.

On May 19th actress Emily Blunt worked this über colourful Peter Pilotto look to the photo call for the upcoming film Sicario. I adore her love for colour and this was every bit Cannes-appropriate, as she wore a long sleeved midi that featured embroidered designs including squares of pink, blue, yellow & green as well as swirls, diamond shapes and round studs along the white cross design on the bodice. Yellow suede strap heels and red lipstick completed her look.

Also opting for colour and attending the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala, French beauty Marion Cotillard stood out in this lime green Jean Pau Gautier Couture column dress. The simple statement strapless was kept chic with its fitted bodice and waistbelt features, to which the actress added a white minaudière, a Chopard necklace and red lipstick.

Attending the Sicario movie premiere on May 19th, Petra Nemcova opted for Zuhair Murad Couture, making quite the gorgeous entrance on the red carpet. The champagne coloured gown featured pale blue floral designs and appliqué with a wide plunging neckline and embellished waistbelt. The look was styled with a sparkling necklace, a metallic light pink box clutch and pink lipstick.

Supermodel Izabel Goulart attended the movie premiere for Youth on May 20th wearing a Zuhair Murad look that featured striped design of white beaded & sheer panels. The silk tulle dress also featured flame-like designs around the bust, which she added wavy curls and sparkling earrings to.

Going two for two, the supermodel returned to attend the movie premiere for Le Glace Et Le Ciel (Ice And The Sky) yesterday on May 24th. Her pale yellow choice by Georges Hobeika was a great look on the tall brunette, as the strapless featured tiered architectural designs on the bust & hips and a risqué split on the skirt at the front. A straight hairstyle, pavé drop earrings and black barely there sandals completed her look.

Opting for dark sultry look, model Jourdan Dunn attended The Little Prince movie premiere on May 22nd in this Ralph & Russo creation. The strapless sheer & embellished roses dress featured a nude bodice underlay, however her lingerie wasn’t quite the same colour as the bodice, which made it painfully obvious and slightly took away from the brilliance of this look. The fitted look was styled with Chopard jewellery and a clutch by Christian Louboutin.
