Ennio Mecozzi

Ennio MecozziEveryone who knows me, knows that I LOVE shoes. And not just that I like buying or wearing high heels, more that I am in love with how beautiful shoe designs are. There are such talented designers in our world, and sometimes we forget that when we buy a lot of knock offs or purchase cheaper high street brands. Like my favourite shoe designers Christian Louboutin, Ruthie Davis & Charlotte Olympia (the holy trinity of shoe designers), this new brand has come to my attention and is easily creeping into my Top 10 favourite shoe designers list. Ennio Mecozzi is a luxurious ladies footwear and handbag brand, that prides its handmade in Italy products on truly beautiful styles. The label is the result of a collaboration between third generation shoemaker Ennio Mecozzi and international footwear designer & Irish-native Anita Flavin. I am always up for supporting Irish designs and am very happy to promote this amazing brand. I absolutely adore the styles this brand creates, from their luxurious suede to their colourful pieces and their party pumps, all of which I really, really want.

Inspired by classic French and Italian styles the collection consists of four different heel heights available in three different styles each, in two colour ways. Ennio Mecozzi’s collection of pointed court shoes are elegant and sophisticated ranging from dazzling party styles featuring metallic cracked leather to smart and chic patent leather and suede heels.

Earlier this month, the Irish Indepedent published a piece on Ennio Mecozzi & Anita Flavin, where the latter designer discussed working with the Italian brand and how the shoes are really unique & special. I couldn’t agree more, there is something for every type of lady in the professional industry. The shoes and matching bags are super sophisticated, and are perfect for a career-focused power dresser, red carpet events, parties and weddings. I love that the collection includes pieces that I could wear to the office and then to after-work events without feeling under-dressed, at least from the ankles down. The collaborative collection has worked with Italian tanneries, heel houses and component houses that are the best in the world, and utilizing his passion, skill and expertise Ennio works from his workshop in Marche, Italy the designer shoe making region of Italy where he is responsible for production of the collection. Killer Fashion’s favourites would have to be Blake in Silver & Poppy (above) and Elizabeth (below).
