On Sunday evening the second iHeart Radio Music Awards took place at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. The international music awards show was an exciting event following last year’s inaugural as this year’s event delivered a lot of laughs, plenty of applause but most importantly, really great live performances. The red carpet before the show was rather star-studded with some brilliantly casual chic looks & dapper menswear styles too, so who did make the Killer Fashion Best Dressed list?
The Best Dressed
It’s no doubt that Miss Taylor Swift was one of the two best dressed ladies at this year’s iHeart Radio awards, as she stunned in a black mini dress by Kaufmanfranco with cut out designs on the waist. The LBD was covered in black gemstone crystals too, that dazzled under the Cali sun. Taylor styled her leg-baring choice with funky cut out sandals by Tamara Mellon, a voluminous & slightly curled hairstyle and her signature cat eyeliner makeup, although opting for a nude lip rather than her usual bold red. Having a stupendous night, Taylor Swift also won three awards on the night; Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for “Shake it Off” & Best Lyrics for “Blank Space”. Iggy Azalea also looked fabulous, in her top & trousers ensemble. The rapper’s look featured a peekaboo long sleeve mesh top with a sleeveless blazer jacket and animal-print knit leggings by Fausto Puglisi with salmon-pink feathery details that she added black sandals to. A yellow manicure added a perfect pop to the look, and I am just in love with that curly hairstyle and her sexy smokey eye with the soft pink lip. Just gorgeous! Iggy also performed “Trouble” with Jennifer Hudson for the opening of the show, which you can watch here.Natural Nudes & White Hot
Leading the smoking hot natural nudes, actress Jessica Szohr wore a Bec & Bridge dress that had a Grecian vibe to it, in an off-gold hue. The trims and off the shoulder detail added to the cut out style, which Jessica styled with shoes by Via Spiga, an Emm Kuo clutch and jewellery by Shay. A sideswept tousled hairstyle and fresh-faced makeup completed the actress’ iHearts look.
Opting for a sexy leather number, Liz Hernandez sure turned heads donning a midi bustier dress that showed off her curves beautifully. The gorgeous Latina interviewed stars on the red carpet too, but with her slicked back hairstyle, red lipstick and barely there sandals, she was definitely werking the red carpet while working.
Ariel Winter added some youthful sexiness to the red carpet, as she looked gorgeous in an LWD. Her bodycon knee-length worked wonders for the actress’ curvy body, which she wore with patterned pumps that matched her newly silver-blue highlights along with smokey eyes and a nude lip colour. I love this look from head to toe.
Also opting for white was Brittany Snow, who donned a pretty white midi dress by Yigal Azrouel with cut out detail on the bodice, a sideswept messy plait and red lipstick and white barely there sandals from Tamara Mellon…that were clearly too small for the actress’ feet. I never understand why anyone would wear shoes that stand out for the wrong reasons, and wearing shoes that are too small (or too big) just are not a smart move. Ignoring this, her look was beautiful as she added a Lee Savage bag & jewels by Marcia Moran and Liv Haley to finish.
Black Beauties
Courtney Bingham attended in a frilly LBD that she wore with strappy sandals and beautifully styled windswept hair, adding a bit of glitz & glam with her gold watch.
Sophie Simmons opted for casual chic in her top & bottoms ensemble, donning an all black peplum long sleeve top with a metallic statement neckpiece and patterned leather skinny jeans with Nicholas Kirkwood heels & an envelope clutch.
Donning a twinsies look, Shannon Bex & Aubrey O’Day of Dumb Blonde wore matching femme suits sans shirt with metallic silver pumps, silver body chains and their silver grey hairstyle in voluminous hairstyles. I quite like this bold move.
Choosing to change up the monochrome look, Katy Tiz wore a leopard printed short suit with the jacket on her shoulders and a black corset top, that she styled with pointed black flats, a metallic gold torc & cuff bracelet and mermaid waves to finish.
Sydney Sierota looked sweet in her A-line LBD by Celia Kritharioti that featured a white trim and Peter Pan collar, which she wore with maroon platform sandals from Topshop and her dip dyed hair in a wavy hairstyle for a fresh finish.
A Splash of Colour
Opting for a royal blue & seagreen look, singer Kelly Clarkson looked lovely in this glitter embroidered tulle overlay tea dress that she wore to the iHearts. She performed “Heartbeat Song”, which you can watch here, in this look too, and was smiilng from ear-to-ear post-performance as she headed back to the party, donning a sideswept curly hairstyle and metallic platform sandals.
Anna Camp was every bit refreshing in her Three Floor choice with its block colour design and mesh plunging panel that was truly perfect for the occasion. The actress teamed a Lee Savage clutch and Jacquie Aiche jewels to the look, finishing up with a slicked back straight style and smokey eyes.
After her performance of “Trouble” with Iggy Azalea, which you can watch here, Jennifer Hudson changed into this Hervé Léger by Max Azria dress with a geometric design and fringed hem. Her short haircut and black pumps worked well with the purple lipstick, though not too sure about how suitable for the dress it was.
Also sporting a colourful look, youngster Zendaya attended in a Fausto Puglisi mini dress that featured a bright green & hot-pink bodice and a skirt with a swirled graphic motif. She added big voluminous hair and Carla Amorim & Pasquale Bruni jewellery to the look, along with hot-pink heels to match, big lashes and a pink lip colour too.
Rihanna wore an LBD & hotpants by Adam Selman with a green (faux) fur coat and matching green over-the-knee patent leather boots, performing her new song “B*tch Better Have My Money” which you can watch here, which she added a letter choker necklace to that spelt out ‘Versace’ and oversized green sunglasses, all which are by Versace. Her jewellery came courtesy of David Webb, and she kept her hair & makeup simple, letting the fashion do all the talking.
