The Body Shop: Green Tea Ceremony

Yesterday evening I attended The Body Shop’s Green Tea Ceremony event, held in their Grafton Street store. I attended with a few of my beautiful blogger friends, and this was actually my first time in this store since its move, and my were we in for a treat. There was a selection of food & drinks to treat ourselves to from Alchemy Juice Co. and Macarons by Andreawhich were delightful, along with their new Fuji Green Tea collection. It includes Body Butter, Bath Tea Salts & a bath tea infuser, Body Lotion, Body Scrub, Soap Bar and an Eau de Toilette fragrance. The range smells lovely, with a hint of mint, and I particular love the body butter, which is super smooth and would go a long way in my possession. The Fuji Green Tea collection will be available in stores & online soon.

In the corner of this upper floor display room were also three pampering spots; for getting a manicure, brow threading or having a makeover done. Lorna & Lisa both opted for the manicure, while Marrie chose the brow threading and I went for the makeover. The makeup artist who worked her magic with me was such a pro!

Killer Fashion The Body Shop Green Tea Ceremony

Extra Virgin Minerals Liquid Foundation – She started off with a light foundation coverage, mixing a light & dark shade for the perfect medium finish. Available at €23.95

All In One Concealer & Extra Virgin Minerals Compact Foundation – She then used the concealer stick around my eye & nose areas and then applied the compact powder on my eyelids to act as a base for the eyeshadow. Available at €13.95 & €23.50 respectively

Shimmer Cube Palette & Smoky 2 in 1 Gel Eye Liner – Using their new eyeshadow palette in Warm Shade, she then applied the shadows to create a subtle smokey eye, before applying their gel eyeliner with a small flick and lashes of mascara. Next up the brows, for which she used the gel eyeliner in Brown along the inner bottom & the arch of my brows, and then filled it in with a dark eyeshadow from the aforementioned palette. A lighter beige colour was also used under my brows to really lift them. The finished result sure looked impressive, and I was a very happy camper leaving the event with a proper face on! Available at €24.95 & €15 respectively

The makeup artist also showed us a demonstration, using their new Poppy Shimmer Cubes SS15 eyeshadow palette, which are all about the bold & colourful eye like the runway looks for SS15. A similar finish to my look, but using blue & yellow tints created a lovely look on the model. All products mentioned are available in stores & online at The Body Shop.

The bloggers and I had such a wonderful time, a much-needed good time after the sad news on Tuesday.. At the end of the evening, we were given little goodie bags with some The Body Shop products. I received the Bath Tea Salts & a bath tea infuser, which I look forward to using.

Many thanks to The Body Shop Ireland team for these goodies and for the event, and also thanks to Revolve PR for their fabulous organizing skills.
