It might not feel or look it, but Spring is finally here. And with that comes a whole load of new wardrobe wants. I’ll be flying out to Austin, Texas in April and oh my, I cannot wait! With my Texan getaway comes the heat, the adventures and plenty of fashion blogging, therefore I’ve just got to prep myself for a totally different climate. I’m thinking sandals, bikinis, shorts & day dresses and fingers crossed we’ll get to break these out in our Irish weathers too. So today I’ve got the low down on what one requires for a fashion Spring Break, and I’ve mixed my love for high street with some cheeky designer pieces for the perfect SS15 wardrobe.
Sandals
After my knee injury (it dislocated, I was on crutches, in physiotherapy and off the heels for 4 weeks!), I was told to lay off the heels and it reminded me of my love for flats, specifically good sandals. And wearing sandals can always mean staying fashionable, especially with these gorgeous finds at Brown Thomas, ALDO, ASOS, Dune and Korkys. Ensure your sandal has a good sole & straps, and brownie points if it features a slight platform. Details like fringe, feathers or embellishments go a long way when teaming with shorts, dresses or jeans, but be aware of the cut outs if you’re out in the sun for long – you might end up with tribal-like tan lines!

Bikinis
Bikini season has many of getting in shape for the flaunting of the bod on the beachfront. So if you’re on the look out for new bikinis I’ve got the perfect picks right here. My favourite Glitz N Pieces boutique now stock bikinis that are a steal of the Triangl prices, though the sizes for smaller than to size, (so opt for a size up than your usual). For fashionable bikinis, Marks & Spencer, River Island and Topshop are great and have a wide variety, and then Brown Thomas also stocks gorgeous designer pieces.

Beachwear
When it comes to stylish cover ups like shorts, kimonos, dresses or kaftans, then look to Roxy for a good choice of beachwear, Marks & Spencer also have some lovely & affordable pieces, as do River Island and Monsoon. I adore the sheer pieces for the beach over your bikini, whereas maxi dresses and trousers are great for the evenings.

After Hours
Going out with the girls, taking a romantic walk with the other half, or just plain up partying, there’s also great eveningwear for your Spring Break vacays. Topshop has plenty of going out attire, as does Vero Moda and its in-house brands. And don’t forget about accessorizing with statement jewels. Killer Fashion favourite Glitz N Pieces has this down to a tee, as it always does.
