Best Dressed at National Television Awards 2015

Last night the annual National Television Awards took place in London, with a lot of British talent walking the red carpet. Quite the red carpet scene was made from that red gown to the monochromatic looks. One thing that seemed consistent at the red carpet show was sexiness and a lot of skin. Irish-English presenter Dermot O’Leary presented the awards ceremony, held in London’s The O2 for a cracking night of award-giving, musical performances and plenty of laughs.

The Best Dressed

Now Gemma Oaten had quite the Beyoncé moment here, and oh how I loved it! The actress & radio presenter wore a white & nude peekaboo floral gown by April Banbury. The dress also featured a tulle skirt with more of the embroidered design along the trim. An updo with dark eye makeup and a coral red lip finished her look perfectly. Just gorgeous!

Lady in Red

Rochelle Humes alone would have had this section down alone, because her custom-made gown is breathtakingly beautiful on her. Suzanne Neville created Rochelle’s “dream dress” in a scarlet red hue and a mermaid fit with a v-cut neckline. The Saturdays singer added a curb chain statement necklace and a glitter-covered clutch to the look, finishing with a relaxed updo, lined eyes and red lipstick.

Also looking mighty fine in red was MTV’s Ex On The Beach star Jess Impiazzi. Her dress choice was sexy but not over the top like others on the red carpet. Her slinky red dress featured slightly see-through panels on her lower bust, midriff and legs without showing of too much. Large lashes and silvery smokey eyes with a dark nude lip, curly hair and one cocktail ring completed her look perfectly. Along with Rochelle Humes’ above look, this is definitely one of my favourites on the night.

Black Beauties

Mel B looked wondrous in her black Dennis Basso choice, teamed with oversized gold & emerald drop earrings.

Opting for a very demure look, Alesha Dixon wore this column dress by Rick Owen with a high neck and tied back ponytail, a dark red matte lip and an array of silver jewellery by Stephen Webster, Katie Rowland and Lola Rose London, and finishing with pavé sandals from Kurt Geiger.

Irish gal Angela Scanlon opted for a cute & quirky look, donning a black tulle tea dress with off the shoulder features and a graphic squiggly neckline. Her dress was teamed with black & gold-toe-capped pumps, a sweeping updo and fresh-faced makeup with a coral lip.

Another Irish who walked the red carpet was I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here contestant Nadia Forde. She too opted for a black look, wearing this strapless sweetheart-cut gown with a mid split that showed off her gladiator heels. Barely there makeup and tousled curls with some gold accessories completed her look.

Joining her fellow Irish lassies, Laura Whitmore attended in this Guinea Piggiles gown that featured a low-cut bodice with an explosive graphic print on the main body. She teamed it with a dark lipstick, a Biba feather clutch and jewels by Pamela Love NYC, Folli Follie, Daisy Jewellery and BPCM, and her shoes were from Topshop.

Singer Pixie Lott opted for a statement look, wearing this strapless gown by Alberta Ferretti with its front artistic design on the skirt and satin texture, that she wore with pearl-embellished dinner gloves. A straight hairstyle that featured gold leaf along her parting pearl drop earrings completed her look.

Lorna Fitzgerald wore a knee-length dress with chain & crystal printed designs, worn with a quilted-effect box clutch and black & gold heels.

The gorgeous Georgia Kousoulou did take my breath away in her black & white Baroque-embroidered gown. The figure-hugging gown featured black tulle sections on the skirt too, which she wore with red lipstick that showcased her new brunette looks perfectly.

Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly walked the carpet together, wearing coordinated monochrome. Claudia opted for an LBD with simple black pumps and held a Saint Laurent monogram clutch, while Tess attended in a jumpsuit with white lapels and matched white pumps to her look.

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden wore a black dress with a plunging neckline and cut outs on the side. Silver & green drop earrings, a silver cuff bracelet and barely there makeup completed her look for the red carpet.

Saying no to the cold, Davina McCall was wrapped up on the red carpet in her black & sheer choice. Her dress featured kriss cross designs on the skirt with a sheer skirting that matched the sheer panel at her neckline, which she wore with a faux fur-trimmed suede jacket. A braided updo and nude lipstick rounded up her style for the evening.

Melanie Sykes took a leaf from London Collections: Men, wearing a three-piece femme suit to the awards. A bit ill-fitting at certain parts, the look was still quite a powerful alternative, that she wore with mesh & black toe-capped heels and smokey eyes.

Lauren Pope turned heads in her patterned black & sheer dress, which you could see her nude-coloured pasties through…not too sure how classy that is.

Laura Jackson opted for a fit & flare LBD, donning this cute dress with black peeptoe sandals and red lipstick.

Natalie Anderson looked lavish in her black embroidered lace gown, with a straight plunging neckline. I absolutely adore this look, along with her minimal accessories, dark red lip and sideswept curls to finish.

Michelle Heaton was also in black donning a simply beautiful strapless sweetheart gown with lace mesh panels on the sides of the bodice and skirt. Smokey eyes and strong lashes with a nude lip completed this look.

White Hot & Naturally Nude

Kris Jenner attended the NTAs, very much to my surprise. She wore a white crepe dress with circular embellished cut outs along the middle of the bodice, with a fur coat on her shoulders. Smokey eyes and a nude lipstick with her cropped cut finished her look.

Mama to be Jacqueline Jossa looked wondrous in her nude-coloured gown that featured a silver glitter striped tulle overlay with capped sleeves. It’s a great look for the young pregnant beauty, and her makeup and straight hairstyle were just on point.

Sammy Winward looked every bit like a cute girly girl in her sequin panelled halter gown by Ono Uno by Nadine Merabi. The slinky beige dress worked beautifully with Sammy’s blonde locks and that barely there finish, with which she had minimal accessories.

Fiona Wade wore a white number by Rebecca Rhoades, which was specially designed for the actress. The backless straight neckline look worked perfectly with her skintone and dark hair, and I adore her chain-fringed white snakeskin box clutch that she held.

Blue is Better

Current fitspo to many, Charlotte Crosby wowed in her blue & silver bead embellished gown from Jovani. The Geordie Shore babe added jewels from Tresor Paris and a chic updo with bangs & smokey eyes to her look.

Radio presenter Kate Garraway wore a two-piece look, opting for a fully glitter-covered top with a pale blue skirt, which she wore with dazzling earrings and beige suede heels.

Anna Passey stunned in her bespoke blue gown from Ono Uno by Nadine Merabi . A strapless number that shone from all angles, this column dress featured a train and was worn with Dandy Rocks jewellery and a clutch by Kurt Geiger. Gorgeous!

A Splash of Colour

Verity Rushworth wore a zingy lemon yellow gown to the awards that featured an embellished neckline and waistband with pleated detailing on the front of the bodice. Silver jewels and a box clutch with a coral red lip finished her look.

Mama to be Julia Bradbury looked lovely in her purple gown, with its ruched bodice and one strap features, that was every bit kind to her baby bump.

Also opting for a purple hue, Lucy Mecklenburgh wore this gorgeous fitted crepe textured strapless mermaid gown by Roland Mouret. I adore the colour of it, and her simple Louis Vuitton black clutch and smokey eyes were the perfect additions.

Jessica Wright also opted for a simplistic look, donning this orange halter dress that really looked divine on the tall brunette. A snakeskin patterned foldover clutch and jewels completed the look, along with dark eye makeup and an updo.

Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model contestant Anita Kaushik wore a berry-coloured dress by Sofia Kapiris. Her dress featured a secure plunging neckline and the label’s signature draped skirt that worked wonderfully on the tall model. A tan clutch, nude sandals, smokey eyes and a beautifully Old Hollywood hairstyle rounded up her red carpet finish.

Emma Willis was also in attendance alongside her husband Matt Willis. She wore a two-piece ensemble featured a black & white textured and dotted crop top, worn with a two-tone chiffon skirt that was grey at the front and off-yellow at the back with a black waistband too. Her short quiff added that edgy vibe to her look along with a box clutch and smokey eyes.
