J.W. Anderson
Colourful and feminine influences, this new J.W. Anderson collection definitely made a mark at LC:M. Irish designer Jonathan Anderson delivered fur & fringe details, gradients and colourblocking and a lot of leather cut trousers.
Pringle of Scotland
Classic styles with oversized scarves, well-cut & well-designed leather pieces, overcoats and knitwear (hello Aran jumper comeback 2.0!); the Pringle of Scotland show was one for all the men.
Alexander McQueen
The Alexander McQueen show is always one I look forward to, and this one did not disappoint. Menswear that’s definitely ready-to-wear from suits and overcoats, in blue & red hues to floral patterned panels on jacket as well as statement text such as “Valour” & “Honour”.
Moschino
Designer Jeremy Scott sure knows how to have fun at the Moschino House. This collection was all about ski & snow attire merging with streetwear, and delivered a lot of colour, texture, fur and snow boots, denim and printed denim, and a lot of male model abs. Nice job Mister Scott! Womenswear pieces were also featured.
James Long
James Long also opted for denim and blue hues, but also delivered fur & leather combinations, all which I can see working their way into streetwear very quickly.
Richard James
The Richard James collection was quite an interesting show, with mens ponchos, equestrian-styles and the Dandy look all featuring on the catwalk. Eveningwear and stylish footwear were also largely present.
Margaret Howell
For the Margaret Howell show, the designer sent out modern looks that included patterned knitwear, overcoats and colourful scarves & jumpers, and pristine & well-cut suits.
Dunhill
The Dunhill collection was very sharpish, with its signature Dandy looks and old school colour palette of browns, mustard yellow and beige mixed together with classic black. Plaid & checkered patterns, fur details and striped ties were all features of the show.
KTZ
The KTZ selection sure was an intriguing one. I sense a punk era meets Clockwork Orange sort of vibe, and I really love it! It was colourful, baggy, fitted and featured bowler hats on many of the models, along with oversized fur coats & details, gloves and military boots.
Casely-Hayford
Father & son designers Joe and Charlie Casely-Hayford sent out a great collection for Sunday’s show, with orange, blue, pink and monochrome being the dominant palette, and colourblocking and oversized coats taking dominance on the runway.
