Paris Fashion Week – September 28th

PFW

Kenzo

Designers Humberto Leon & Carol Lim stepped up their game for the Kenzo fashion line this season. Oversized jackets and shirts in Spring-ready blue hues, stripes and abstract lined panels, pastel pink mosaic-style prints, plunging necklines and suits with futuristic visor sunglasses to complete the looks.

Céline

Oh how I love Céline fashion. It was elegant, feminine and sexy that featured fringe & button detailing, paneled coats, cut outs, beautiful floral prints, which were accessorized with large pendant necklaces, sashes and leather bags. Designer Phoebe Philo did a fabulous job.

Maxime Simoëns

Branding “#Colourful Is The New Black” on the opening look’s top, this show was exactly that, colourful. Colour blocking was a strong theme throughout as well as pixelated and striped motifs, artistic prints, leather panels, mini & midi skirts and plunging necklines.

Martin Grant

I loved the drama of the Martin Grant show, with deep plunging necklines and Baroque-style motifs, a wtaerfall-cut dress, black silk trilby hats and the glittering textured jumpsuits. Just beautiful!

Maison Rabih Kayrouz

Floral prints, the classic black, red & white combination, lace, geometric prints & patterns and baggy blouses were the main stars at the Maison Rabih Kayrouz show.

John Galliano

For the John Galliano show, designer Bill Gaytten created a very creative collection that featured a lot of green. Jacquard & nature were big themes to the show, in many shapes and forms from bamboo prints and wooden accents to the wooden flatforms and leaf appliqué on many pieces.

Akris

Akris was full of chic sporty luxe-style pieces complete with each model donning wide head visors. Cut outs, nude or mesh panels, sexy silhouettes were big features of the show, in blush hues like white, beige and orange as well as classic black for a 50-piece collection.

Givenchy

Riccardo Tisci did a fabulous job for the fashion house’s Spring RTW show, with a sexy take featuring a lot of leather & lace up details, leather knee-high boots, monochrome striped motifs, chocolate brown pieces, streamer-like fringe and one powder pink leather ruffled mini dress that model Julia Nobis sported.
