London Fashion Week – September 16th

Simone Rocha

Irish gal Simone Rocha had one of the darkest openings for a Spring collection; with a nine all black looks to start and wet-look hair, followed by furry accents, explosive florals and tulle netting headscarves, and a lot of scalloped hems. The style of the collection may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the young designer can sure hold her head high for the sheer brilliance.

Emilio de la Morena

Spanish-born designer Emilio de la Morena put on a great show in London for his Spring 2015 collection. Featuring metallic bustiers and shiny skirts, geometric & colourful leopard prints and jacquard blacks, this was one short & sweet collection that I really admired.

Ashish

The Ashish show had my attention come the first look; any show that opens with a topless male model in rainbow sweats has me hooked! The rainbow sequin looks continued accessorized with sparkling bling, from head to toe; the female models had bejeweled eye makeup, reflective hair streamers, serious arm candy and glitterati mani-pedicures. Although bordering on kitsch, the fashion also shimmery jeans, snakeskin denim & sweats, and a lot of surprises in abnormal cuts. The show was also an all-black model show, I loved it, and though many will mention her too: Chantelle Winnie, yes girl!
