Bold lipstick has been a statement for me for many years. I remember my Mam putting on her Chanel red lipstick years ago, when she were going to a fancy event with my Dad, or even just to the office. This is when I originally saw the lipstick light and I’ve been hooked since. As I’m sure my readers know, I am a fiend for anything by Yves Saint Laurent. So to own not one, not two, but three of their lovely lipsticks, it’s a must to write up this review! With so many shades to choose from, there is definitely one for each and every one of you beautiful readers, whether you like a subtle nude, a pop of colour or a classic red.

Product: Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté & Rouge Volupté Shine Lipsticks
These YSL lipsticks are my new favourite pieces in my beauty drawer. The Rouge Volupté is a very moisturizing lipstick, which comes in 13 shades, whereas Rouge Volupté Shine has more protect & shine elements in it and comes in 19 shades. One thing I adore about YSL lip products is they have a delicious smell about them, fruity and tempting. Rouge Volupté & Rouge Volupté Shine Lipsticks are available to buy online at Yves Saint Laurent Beauty & in store, at €33.

Verdict for Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté #1 Nude Beige – 4/5
This is one of YSL’s best-selling lipsticks, as is its nude shade. It has a creamy texture which I really like, meaning you don’t have to wear balm beforehand. The colour is really lovely too, although it’s a nude shade, it’s the most perfect nude that compliments my skin tone and adds a subtle amount of pop to my beauty regime. It is more pink than I was hoping for, as I already have a pink nude lipstick, and had really wanted a beige one.
Verdict for Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine #18 Prune in Fire – 5/5
This lipstick is possibly my favourite of all those I own right now. Though the product looks like it’s a deep plum, on your lips it’s actually a hot pink colour and is really suiting to my skin tone. It has a creamy texture but also a shine to it, hence the name of this collection. I really love the pigmentation, it’s very strong in colour and its moisturizing action prevents my lips from drying out throughout the day.

Verdict for Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine #17 Rose in Tension – 4/5
Another from the Rouge Volupté Shine collection, this lipstick has a faded dark pink hue to it, with slight shimmer too giving its shine. The product glides onto the lips with such ease, and again, because there’s moisuturizing elements in its formula no lip balm is needed. This lipstick also lasts for hours on end so you won’t have to top up your lipstick over and over again, and I find this such a plus.
