Happy Independence Day America!
As we all know, tomorrow is the 4th of July, which marks American Independence Day, (which also happens to be two of my best friends’ birthdays!) So to get into the spirit of things, this post will give you some ideas of what and how to wear everything red, white & blue with stars and stripes. Who said you can’t wear your flag on your clothes (remember the Irish tricolour theme)! Whether you’re just going to the pub to watch Germany V France in the World Cup, or having a full-on US themed party, rock the American flag in style with a little help from Urban Outfitters, Lipsy, River Island and more. So, take a look at Killer Fashion’s style guide for all the best tips.
Red
Wearing red can always be a bold move. You can make a statement in a red dress, or just red lipstick, or mix white into the look with pinstripes a la this Guess crop top, or stay comfy in the Wildfox Couture jumper. Whatever you choose, you’ll look red-hot at any 4th of July parties in any of these picks.

White
White is a great addition to any outfit, because it compliments everything! I’m loving that leather jacket from River Island and the tuxedo dress from the new Michelle Keegan for Lipsy collection (more on that later this week!) And don’t forget to accessorize too, nails & eyes in silvery white hues are perfect for this Friday’s occasion.

Blue
If you want to stay true to blue then choose from cool denims like the Kimchie Blue dress or Light Before Dark ripped jeans, both found at Urban Outfitters. If you want to shake it up a bit, the River Island leather jacket will go down a treat, or even Barry M’s confetti effects nail polish, that will basically create a party at your fingertips!

Stars & Stripes
Going for the full USA look? Then here are some picks bearing the American flag one way or another, but also pieces that have great stripe patterns or the blue version of the aforementioned stars jumper by Wildfox Couture.
