Zuhair Murad: Fall/Winter 2014 RTW

Earlier this week I discussed how Zuhair Murad is one of my favourite designers too, so the latest Fall/Winter 2014 RTW collection really blew me away. This collection was dominated by the classic monochrome colours of black & white, with turquoise, pink & teal also thrown into the gorgeous mix, creating a wondrous evening collection by the Beirut-based Lebanese fashion designer. Take a look at Killer Fashion’s absolute favourite gems from this FW14 collection.

Black Beauties

A lot of this collection consisted of black attire with floor-length dresses, LBDs and sexy tailored pieces. Lace on leather, laced up detailing and embellished nude mesh were the major details of the black collection, and I particularly love the simplistic & sophisticated sweetheart mermaid gown with its ruffled lace skirting, as well as the black & white graphic printed full floor-length skirt.

Wonderful in White

A lot of the white pieces from this Zuhair Murad collection were super sophisticated, with bell-sleeved & cape-sleeved blouses, embellished blazers, and black-on-white detailed dresses with chic cutouts. I really love the sweetheart-embroidered blouse with its cut away sleeves and underarm details, so very chic!

Embellished in Colour

Finally, the colourful selection of this FW14 collection is made up of fully embellished dresses in deep and magenta pinks, turquoise and teal shades. These dresses, both long & short, feature intricate attention to detail with nude mesh and part-covered sweetheart necklines. One of the extraordinary pieces here is the caped sleeve dress; it’s full-length, with the black embroidery along the outer sleeves and on the upper bodice creating a sweetheart neckline on the body of the dress, which itself is a mix of turquoise, pink & black watercolour graphic print.
