It’s no secret that i love the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. This year the themes included British Invasion, Shipwrecked, Birds of Paradise, Parisian Nights, Pink Network & Snow Angels. All the Victoria’s Angels and models looked stunning in their selection of lingerie, jewels, accessories, clothing and of course, the famous VS wings. Killer Fashion gives you a look at the fashion show, though you’ll have to wait until December 10th to watch the full show.
This year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show included 40 models: the beloved and veteran VS Angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima & Lily Aldridge as well as internationally loved models like Cara Delevigne, Doutzen Kroess, Candice Swanepoel, Karlie Kloss, Behati Prinsloo, Jourdan Dunn and Joan Smalls. The extravagant fashion show also showcased the VS debut of Malaika Firth & Josephine Skriver.
British Invasion
Set to the theme of British fashion and trends, this section featured the Union Jack colours, odes to punk rock, mod fashion, circus inspired attire and tartan. Candice Swanepoel wore the highly famous & expensive $10-million Royal Fantasy Bra as designed by Mouwad. This section of the show was accompanied by alt rock band Fall Out Boy and pop-country singer Taylor Swift, who wore a VS creation especially for the event.
Shipwrecked
The romantic themed section was full of sweeping overlays, lacy lingerie, corsets and sexy attitude. Wings were also featured during the show, with music to A Great Big World, who performed at a piano on the runway.
Birds of Paradise
Embodying the birds of paradise, the models walked the runway donning feathers of all colours and styles in matching sandals, corsets and neckpieces, and of course giants wings. Fall Out Boy kept the models company with their energetic live set.
Parisian Nights
Ever the sexy theme, this section was quite burlesque and Moulin Rouge-inspired. There was a lot of black, there were musical headpieces, leather gloves and more feathers. The ladies walked to Miley Cyrus’ song F.U. although Miley herself couldn’t be there on the night to perform.
Pink Network
Victoria’s Secret always showcases their Pink counterpart, and this year it was all about smiley faces and balloons, multi-coloured get ups, textual bags, thigh high socks and all things pink! Neon Jungle performed during the section.
Snow Angel
The closing theme was the Christmas & winter-themed section. Donning all things white from feathery wings, bejewelled capes and tops, crystal pavé gladiator heels and snowflakes, the final section was celebrated with falling snow and a performance by Taylor Swift, who wore a fully jewel embellished mini dress.
