Zuhair Murad is one of my favourite fashion designers. His collections are always so darn stunning, and full of oomph and va va voom, with enough sophistication and attention to detail. I am more than happy to delve into his Spring/Summer 2014 RTW Collection, that’s just been showcased online and am even more so happy to share with you my favourite looks. The collection features bold colours as well as neutral tones, Celtic-like swirl designs, sheer paneling, lace overlays, cut outs and statement embellishment. Take your pick on who will be wearing Zuhair Murad’s SS14 RTW in the next coming weeks, because this is just in time for all those glamorous Christmas events.
Natural Goddess
White & nude are a popular dress colour in the collection, many with laser-cut detailing and nude underlays, sweetheart or plunging necklines and intricate gold embellished beading. Definitely a look for royalty, these are the best of the neutral best.
Lady In Red
A lady in red is nearly always a hit at any party. With these designs, Zuhair Murad brings out sophistication and sex appeal without overdoing it. Featuring peek-a-boo nude underlay panels along the waist, lace sleeves or swirl designs, the fiery red number is a showstopper for all. I especially love that jumpsuit: simple and yet so very chic.
The Black Beauty
Not all black dresses have to be little when they can be long, but these are all incredible LBDs. These black beauties are so very sexy with a lot of “skin” showing, in the form of the nude mesh. There is extreme attention to detail in all of these dresses, with careful embroidery and clever neck- and hemlines. I am amazed by the zebra-like beading in particular, very Halloween!
Bold in Blue
From red carpet to the blue carpet, these two dresses could not be more different than the other. Fully embellished sweetheart bodice and crossover wraps, the gown is a stunner in its array of turquoise and teal blue shades. Whereas the peek-a-boo teal blue silhouette has a more polished look; with a straight neckline, ¾ length sleeves and a midi cut. I love both.
